Its times like these you start to realize he actually was a good manager, tactically on his day one of the best...

If he was still our manager rather than trying to run the club, I think things would be of been a little different...

Kenny, as much as I hate to say it.. tactically is useless.. Doesn't seem to have a Plan B

Maybe Im imagining this but when we did lose against shit teams with Rafa in charge we very rarely let in three goals and they usually parked bus against us.
We were outplayed today.

Maybe the odd occasion, but this season it has happened a fair few times.. and for it to happen against Bolton is way beyond a Joke...

What does it matter? We lost PLENTY under Rafa. We wasted money. We were out of most things MOST years by January. We moaned about tactics and substitutions.
What difference does it make?

Kenny has us ONE game from Wembley in his first full season in charge. We have to give him time.

In Kenny's first time in charge he was certainly tactically astute and he also had his teams play miles better than Rafa ever did. So even if you want to say he has forgotten how to manage and use tactics, it's still massively disrespectful and a bit pathetic. It''ll be 'bring back Houllier' next.

I don't feel at ease with Kenny at the Helm tbh... real uneasy about it..

when we get beat we get hammered, can get the players scoring.. cant win at home.. Sorry but Rafa never got it that bad...

Btw I am not saying he is the answer.. I just do not think Kenny is for the Long term...
Thats bollocks. We lost 1-0 to fulham and Stoke. When we have an off day we get hammered. Thats through the ages.
In Rafas last season we finished 7th and went out of the cups in rounds 4 and 3.
And just some of those outstanding tactical genii results you crave...
Fulham 3 - 1 Liverpool
Sunderland 1 - 0 Liverpool
Birmingham 2 - 2 Liverpool
Hull 2 - 2 Liverpool
Blackburn 0 - 0 Liverpool
Portsmouth 2 - 0 Liverpool
Stoke 1 - 1 Liverpool
Wolves 1 - 1 Liverpool
Wigan 1 - 0 Liverpool
Brum 0 - 0 Liverpool
Fulham 0 - 0 Liverpool
Hull 0 - Liverpool

Aye. Lets rush Rafa back, after all Kennys had about 40 games in charge and we havnt won the league.

Nothing to do with winning the league.. it all very nice this tippy tappy passing nonsense, more exciting football (where... I fail to see).. but it aint winning us games...

Rafa had one bad season, given at a time the club was having ownership difficulties.. every other season was progress..

Kenny - 25 goals in 22 games, 7 games drawn at home in the League that is fucking ridiculous by anyone's standards...

I just do not see where the club is currently progressing.. if anything, with the signings we have made we are going backwards... tbf... the Suarez suspension ain't helped us.. but he ain't exactly a goal machine either..

Excluding the back line....
Close to £70-80 million spent on attacking players since Suarez joined and we're still a one man team.

That's utter depressing when you think about it...

If Rafa had had the cash Kenny has, we would have a better team than we do now.

Pretty much all of Rafa's main buys proved to be top quality. It was when he was scratching around trying to find 2 or 3 players for about 6-7m that he fucked up, simply because not many top players ever cost so little.

Spot on... we only scrimped around for bargain basement signings.. because we had shit owners with no financial clout....

I always maintain if Rafa had the better financial backing he would of done much better.

I agree. Surely Keane must be mentioned and to some extent Aquilani. But I don't think the latter was given much of a chance.

Yeah let's get him back so he can play Carroll and Coates on the wings. He's not coming back so get over it.
He loves the club, still lives in the area and is probably the best manager available atm.
Also he pretty much knows the team already (easy transition).

I wouldn't be so dismissive.

He did always argue Keane was not his signing.. Aqualani was a huuugeee mistake though..

It would be safe to say losing Alonso was where it started to all go wrong..

Yup and he dug that ditch himself.

To be honest If we won the FA cup and or Carling cup and finished 5/6th I'd be happy with this season.

We've got a shite team, which in part the current management team have contributed towards but im willing to allow them the time to fix things. As no manager could come in and turn us into world beaters.

It's silly to call for Kenny to be gone. It's not silly to say that we can't afford anymore transfer fuck ups, and that needs to be sorted out immediately.

Yea, our team could be more effective if tactics were perfect, but there simply aren't the right tools in our squad to enjoy sustained success at present, no matter how they are arranged.

bringing him back would be a terrible idea.

If you're moaning about the second coming of one great manager, why would this one be any better?

Rafa is probably having enormous fun now sitting in his study at Lindisfarne reducing football matches to mathematical equations without any of those unreliable human beings messing things up.

This one has managed three teams in the last ten years and obviously has the credentials.
Like I said he still lives in the area, loves Liverpool, got a great CV and knows the players and the club.

Honestly, I'd like to give Kenny a chance, but if we get knocked out of the League and FA cup, then...

Then we bring in a better manager than both of them. When Kenny goes, it'll be on his terms, and he deserves that.

His post-match interview shows that he's angry and not willing to let this happen again.

Have faith.
