Caice-d'oh!

Have I missed the official announcement? All I’m seeing is that Chelsea have an agreement on an 8 year deal with Caicedo and that there is a £115m package offer Chelsea have put together to tempt Brighton to turn to the dark side

Nope. Which is what seems strange.

I am wondering if the ploy here is to get as much shit done in as short a space of time to count as a single discretion and get a single penalty

Stay in Boston please John.

Don't need your antics overshadowing our demolition job at Chelsea.

24 hours of “crucial, final day” has passed… still no official bid, only confirmation that they agreed personal terms, which we already knew.

Personal terms agreed since May..

Only wants Chelsea.. told Brighton the same.

48hrs later.. no bid..just talks.

It will probably come but Tap ins reputation took a massive nose dive.

Chelsea are going to submit a bid that will be confirmed before the game, they want a circus, they want to embarrass us and do maximum damage around the match.

Arsed.. we've also inflicted damage on them too.

I'm not even bothered if they sign Lavia. There are better value players out there.

The two players I am miffed missing out on are Bellingham and Gvardiol.

We made a bid that was accepted, a medical booked. Brighton are the ones that closed the window
Chelsea went behind our back offered the agent a few mill extra and the player £250k/w
Not sure why we're sticking around. Hopefully we've moved on to other targets

This could be a key day for us ... Beat Chelsea - and then Caicedo deal confirmed in our favor.
Granted it could go the other way, but let's be optimistic like Hansern for the day before our season starts to falter as it did last year with a terrible start.

The league isnt lost or won today. But beating Chelsea will feel so fucking good. We're gonna pummel them. Windmilling style a la Sean.

A good old smashing would be fantastic, good tonic for missing out in caicedo too if that’s how it goes.

It seems simple enough equation to me; either Chelsea take the FFP piss and lodge a bid over ours and force Brighton into a U turn regarding the bid end date which means they lose any control over future sales or we get a top class DM who doesn’t want to play for us for £111m

Not looking great either way at the mo

They're waiting for our lizards to turn up so they can rub their faces in it.

I wouldn't be surprised if our lizards have told their lizards that if it turns out that they have knowingly broke the rules here they'll sue Chelsea and the PL.
The other take on this could be Chelsea stalling long enough so the transfer doesn’t go through until after todays game so their fans don’t get all hissy

I think the league was lost last year by game 2 ...
There is insane pressure to keep up with Man City, who basically have all clubs thinking they need to hit 100 points to win the league.
If we don't win tonight, it makes the next game a 'must win' ... and the pressure just won't let up.
It's a young team, with new leaders, and I think a win today is so key ... a loss and it could unravel like it did last season.
