I thought it was unfair to judge Roy on the basis of the first couple of months, with the ownership situation creating so much uncertainty, the loss of Mascherano, new players, injuries, etc. All this time I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. If I'm the owner, there is no way I include Roy in the conversations about the January signings at this point. You cannot make long term plans with someone who is just hanging on for dear life.
