Exactly what it says. Many of the Liverpool based, match going posters on here tend to have more balanced viewpoint on things that's all. When I'm listening to people's points of views, I attach more credence to certain people's points of views dependent on certain things.

A poor analogy, but if I'm needing legal advice, I'm more likely to listen to a legal person not a someone with no legal experience.

Moo just fits the stereotype I have in my head of the new modern Liverpool fan that I struggle to engage with. He probably has the reverse stereotype of me.

There is nothing more obnoxious than someone bleating on about "the modern Liverpool fan".
In your opinion. As I've stated previously, I'm not the biggest fan of modern football or modern football fans. If that makes me a stick in the mud to other people, I don't have an issue with that.

I just struggle with people who think football is a better game now. I'm not sure it is, because it has in my opinion become a product in some fans eyes, unsurprisingly given the sums we are being asked to part company with. But I've always held the view that you went to the game to support your team and encourage them. Not complain that you were not getting your money's worth from this one or that one.

Now clearly for those LFC fans who experienced the times when we won everything we had little to complain about. But football shouldn't be a product for me. It should be a sport. We're so far away from that now in my opinion and I struggle with it. Call me a traditionalist or call me a soppy fucker. Its just how I feel.

I'm with john. Debate is a thing of the past on here. All points are boiled down to insults after someone has decided that they are correct

discussion about our club is dead
I think that's because the most debatable thing at this point is Roy Hodgson's candidature, and near 100% of the posters here are in agreement that he should be sacked.....so there is may be nothing to debate.

It's not snooty when we're talking about posters who bring nothing to the table other than a one-liner that's been repeated for months. That's the point. There's a handful of posters like Moo and I know exactly what Spion is talking about in that sense, the kind 'modern fan' who doesn't offer anything regards the actual game other than "he's a cunt/sack the cunt" blah blah, the stuff you'd expect either from a kid, someone who's a bit dim or someone who doesn't really know his football that well.

I don't agree that it's generally just the match goers who talk sense, but I do think you have to have an obvious affinity with the club and generally give the impression that you know what you're talking about regards football to be worth entering debate with.

Anyone can post "Roy Hodgson should be sacked/is a cunt, discuss" and be proud of the 15 page outcome.

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has told Roy Hodgson that the club's current form is "unacceptable" and that results must improve, particularly away from home.

• Dalglish plays down exodus fears

A 3-1 defeat to Newcastle United at the weekend saw Liverpool drop to ninth and the Reds have now won just one of nine games away from Anfield this season under Hodgson.

While Werner continues to back Hodgson, he has made no secret of his desire to see the former Fulham manager improve on his away record and help the club climb the table.

"We just got here, Roy got here shortly before us. Nobody, least of all Roy, was happy with our performance last weekend," Werner told LFC TV

"We have to perform better, especially on the road. We believe in what Roy is doing and we certainly feel like the performance has to improve, and he'd be the first to say that."

Werner says the club's owners are currently assessing their potential plans for investment in the playing squad when the January transfer window opens.

"We're actively looking at it,'' he said regarding possible spending in January. "We don't quite know what the situation's going to be in January. It's our first transfer window and it's something we've been studying day and night.

"There's no doubt the play that has gone on this season, and for the last half of last season, is unacceptable for Liverpool to accomplish what it wants to accomplish. We're in sync with the fans with regard to what it's going to take for this club going forward."

About fucking time.I can't see away form improving, out by Jan. New manager with some new signings.
