Watching a team that is poor at defending attempt to sit back and soak up pressure against a very good attacking team with pace was torture. Are you guys kidding me, you watched that game and thought we were gonna win. We had a lot less possession in the final third comparatively. They threatened us constantly. We were lucky not to concede 6 today just as we were unlucky not to score 3. We did however get a fortuitous goal off a set piece and we reverted to Roy's sit back philosophy about 15 minutes later, leaving them 40 minutes to score 2. We only made subs due to injury, its like Roy doesn't even understand what fresh legs or a change in tactics can do for a team. We've seen it time and again if we only score one goal under Roy Hodgson we end up losing that lead and usually the game in the second half. Therefor using recent history it was quite obvious we were going to lose that game, not that it makes it hurt any less.
With the exception of Bolton, we'll be playing sides on par/below us in the table btw now till Feb when we meet Chelsea. Let's see if we can get another run like the previous one of 13 in 6 games.
