Exactly. It's not surprising that due to our current mess the fans' primitive anxieties are spilling out all over the place. It's common that in such circumstances many revert to splitting; making Rafa, Broughton, the board, other posters, into either the devil or new messiah.

The strength of this place is that it's usually quite successful in holding opposite views in tension with all the mudslinging and flare-ups that invariably involves. SCM covers a whole spectrum of views on most things across the different posters, with some posters holding conflicting views on the same issue.

RAWK, on the other hand appears to demand allegiance to one polarised view, else be demonised. Or is that splitting?!

Wowzers. Looks like another breakdown in the minuscule brain of a RAWK-ite. I think Mark has it spot on, and the way that the Rafa-bortion was handled was impressive from both sides.
As for his responding to the email, he clearly shouldn't have done. But it probably took him 20 seconds to write that so to bang on about it being a 'waste of his time' is petty and KokKing-ish. He probably wrote it in his own time, as I do with most of my work emails.

Im very much in the "lets wait and see" camp - which is not great, but is the only logical stance - and I can see very little evidence so far that they've actually done anything wrong.

- The manager would have been sacked by any board that had half a brain/ heart
- No board should be keeping the fans 100% up to speed with ongoing negotiations regarding selling
- One pithy response to an unknown email cant be jumped on as evidence of lack of respect

Sure, the guys a Chav fucker, and we should despise him just for that, but his job is to bring his city-cuntery to bear and sell the club; lets hope he does that.

Im not sure it serves anyones purposes for the club hierarchy/ staff to begin to see the supporters as a bunch of pitchfork waving reactionaries that oscillate between beating their chests in grief, and baying for blood, at every available snippet of information that comes out of the club at the moment.

Well, how things change in a short space of time, when Broughton was brought with BarCap, it seemed everyone was quite happy with the idea, RAWK and their cult members , of whom we have at least one of the Bretheren spouting here, are really very worrying in the way their thought patterns go.

Most, even the dimmest, realised Broughton was put in place to act as a buffer between Gillett and Hicks and everyone else, and people would be more inclined to sit down at the negotiating table with him rather than the other two.

Everyone was purring over Purslow too, and how much of an improvement he was over Parry, negotiating some great deals, oh and he was a Liverpool supporter , and season ticket holder.

Broughton has been in place just eight weeks, yes eight weeks.
He has made no secret of his Chelsea affinity and has been quite open about it, I hardly think he is going to sully his reputation by not doing the right thing, people must judge others on their own morals.
It seems that some have turned because they didn't like Rafa being sacked, and say that was not part of his brief, well it was apparent to anyone even before the season ended or Broughton arrived even, that that was a distinct possibilty, if you were pro Rafa or not.

The Sheik has continually asked people (person) to back their stance up with evidence, and all that returns is more rhetoric and negative speculation.
Brendan, just does like him, which is fair enough, he may know more about him than the rest of us.

It strikes me that the biggest problem and a common thread that runs through the Yanks, Purslow and now Broughton is that they have made ill judged decisions to enter into debate/communications with a rabble.

It is typical lynch mob mentality, guilty until proven innocent, and I am surprised that some people have been drawn into that based on very little evidence to the contrary.

To be honest this is a car crash of a thread flamed by a fucking car crash of a poster.
