On Sunday, they come to Anfield.

With a bit of luck Henderson and Milner will be available again and we can put out a similar line up as last night.

I'd give Caulker a go ahead of Kolo, his pace and agility would be helpful in a team that presses high.

I'm looking forward to it

I'm looking forward to it too, if we play well we can really hurt United, relying on us to play well is a fools game though.

Yeah, hoping for the same line up but Caulker for Toure.
Utd will have loads of possession and they cross the ball umpeenth times during the game, getting down the flanks.

Sakho needs games to get back to his best. Will be better on Sunday. Definetly wouldnt throw Ilori in there.

I too am looking forward to it. I'm pretty confident that we will go level with them on points by Sunday eve.

I don't think I've ever looked forward to a united game, except the season that Moyes was in charge.

Now you're talking - was lucky enough to get last minute seats in the SAF stand (in among the scummies) for that game - me and my mate leant on each other all game to stop us from jumping up! We spoke in fake cockney accents so we would not stand out!!!!! 😉

It would be lovely to play as well on Sunday as we did last night - they would not cope with it

I remember really looking forward to last year's fixture.

We were (as it turned out) at the end of our good run and looking in good form and they were on an awful run. They were better than us from start to finish and won 3-0 and then they went on to a strong league finish after that game. So I want revenge this season!!!

If they beat us - then trust me on this - they will suddenly start playing well for the rest of the season. So all I can say is that WE HAVE TO WIN to destroy any confidence they may have.

I'd throw a CB jersey into the crowd at the moment and put them alongside Caulker. The other options are just too shit to think about.

We have to be wary because although United only drew against Newcastle, their attack did look rejuvenated. Rooney scored an excellent goal and Martial was causing lots of trouble cutting in from the right flank, which is worrying because we can't rely on Moreno to actually be there to do something about it. I think we'll dominate play. We'll have a point to prove after the early season defeat and the team always rises to the bigger games now Klopp's here. I fear it might come down to who has the better goalkeeper, though, and if it does, we are truly fucked.

I dread this game more than any other in a season. I am going, so I will be in the boozer for 11am, sink 5 or 6 pints, then off to the match. Where I will proceed to abuse every Manchester United player from my seat up in row 20, where they probably cant hear me from anyway.

Bring it on.

Although to this day, one of my favourite moments at the match was against these cunts. When the lad by me threw a burger at Gary Neville down on the Centenary stand touchline. I was about 7 rows behind him. As soon as it left his hand, I knew it would hit the target. Fucking brilliant that was.

I hope they dominate possession, which means we hit them on the counter. We tend to do better fair better when we see less of the ball. I don't think we will batter them and its not going to be end to end stuff.

I never look forward to United games. There's too much to lose - obviously beating them & rubbing their noses in it is the best feeling in the world - losing is unbearable, even now that I am hundreds of miles away. Even through the 80s when we were the cock of the north, these were painful to look forward to &, all too often, to look back on as well.

At best I look forward to retrospectively looking forward to this game on Monday

It would be absolutely unforgiveable if the players just fail to fight this time. We've been abysmal in recent games. The result is never something you can guarantee, but you should be able to guarantee commitment, and that's gone missing in the last few games against the mancs. So at the very least, they have to come out and really go for it.

We we allow united pass the ball over and back or will we press the, into mistakes? Will the game plan be the same as last night?

I hope we see a similar midfield and attacking line up anyway.
