There is an issue with midfield. Its very immobile and doesn't flow at all. Fingers crossed Stevie stays fit because we need him.

I thought it was a debut to forget to be honest.
Im not flaming him as a signing or a player or anything but it was a wank performance.

Carra and Robinson were good.
 
Stevie worringly looked in the worst shape I think I've ever seen him. Not a slant on the lad, just that usually he's not just the best player on the pitch but best athlete by a mile. Looks 6 or 7 games away from full fitness, which is a real worry as our other centre mids are all plodders.

He has been out the game for 6 months with a massive injury so thats only to be expected
 
I seem to be alone in thinking it was a shite performance. Second half especially. We had a team of internationals against a championship side and they had 65% possession. We won I suppose.

1st half was good apart from some iffy finishing.
2nd half was shit.

Dunno if im quiffing but Coates didn't look very promising did he.
 
I thought Coates was very good considering he is the type of player that reads the game and anticipates where the ball will be. Coates and Carra may be made for each other as a partnership; they will sit deeply though. However it will take time for Coates to adapt as he needs to know the style of play before he can anticipate the play. Good in the air and a strong tackler too.

He was dire. Was out-jumped, out-fought and out-paced almost every time. He doesn't appear to be particularly physical either.

Not going to write off a 20 year old kid coming to a different country, different type of football, different everything but at the same time it's making a lot of fans that were already lauding him as our saviour look a bit silly.

He's nowhere near ready based on that performance.

Yup.
Muck debut.
One for the future of course but like Wilson last year i saw absolutely fuck all to suggest hes a top prospect.
That however is the first time ive seen him play.
 
Am i the only one who thought he had a good game? Apart from that pass, i can't honestly think of anything he did wrong.
