You'd have to make sense of it to reply.

It felt like watching someone cough violently and accidentally vomit all over themselves.

I felt like asking if you're ok and could I get you anything.... a tissue maybe?

Well...it was making the point that Rodgers's good signings this summer might well beget us lots of bad signings in the future if people mistake this summer's dealings as a sign of ability rather than luck.

Rodgers has made mistakes in the market and big ones, but the evidence so far points to us having had a successful summer of recruitment. Clyne, Gomez and Milner are already a success in my eyes, whilst Firmino and Benteke still have a lot to prove the signs are promising. That's 5 players who have came in and instantly improved the first eleven. It's not often a club can say that about a window. Prior to this window I was equally non-plussed over his record and I'm not a large fan of relying on the best talent from lower in the league, but I'm prepared to accept that in a summer where he's been given the most control, we've also gotten the majority of a decisions right.

Yes but he basically got lucky this summer. Easy pickings were available in his exclusive area of interest (average to quite good established PL players).

I feel like patting you on the back to make sure all the vomit is out.

We have played one good half this season, the first against Arsenal. Last season we played great in maybe four or five games. Says it all really. Rodgers is one of the most overhyped managers ever.

He should have got the boot in the summer. If Klopp is a realistic option I'd be throwing money at him now. This guy is a fucking chancer.

Dortmund have looked far better this season without Klopp.
I'd be going for Ancelotti.

Was most likely because of a shrewd dof.
I didn't see Madrid or City banging down his door in the summer.

Whoever picked out some of the players they picked up did an excellent job, but the manager is responsible for picking the team, tactics, motivating the players etc. From where Dortmund were he did an exceptional job. He will have no shortage of offers when he decides to return to management. I'd be ecstatic if we got him.

Rodgers is about as hyped as you are rational about him.

How do you know Klopp would have achieved what he has achieved if he was given the reigns to sign his own players?
It's all hypothetical but I'm not convinced by him.

I don't. But he produced an outstandingly good team from fairly modest resources (not even the budget - the players themselves, especially given the constant churn of comings and goings).

In any case, I wouldn't give him the reins to sign players either. We also need a top DOF.

So how many good games have played the last 50 or so games?

What?

Rodgers isn't hyped and you aren't rational when discussing him. There, I've spelled it out for you.

My patience with Rodgers is paper thin. He tries to be too clever by half and the defence has been too shot for too long.

Something needs to change and pretty fucking soon.

Not convinced by Klopp?

Borussia Dortmund
T-Home Supercup: 2008[3]
Bundesliga: 2010–11,[4] 2011–12[5]
DFB-Pokal: 2011–12[7]
DFL-Supercup: 2013,[28] 2014[28]
UEFA Champions League runner–up: 2012–13[11]

Our current manager has won nothing.

I'd be equally happy with Ancelotti.

Sadly after backing him during the summer, I cant see FSG doing it so quickly. It will take more than that.

Rafa's record is better than that and had similar circumstances at Valencia.
I wouldn't want him back either.
