Brendan Rodgers Liverpool

Hi Kids. I think you are over thinking and analysing Mr Rodgers to be honest.
I have come to a fairly obvious conclusion (after some time, it has to be said) he is just fucking thick.
Who in their right mind would nail their colours to Lovren's mast (another immense thicko) after last season - then after two pretty average games he pronounces Lovren's "turned a corner" - whoops.
Then after almost offloading Lucas (at long last) who, in fairness, has a half reasonable game at Arsenal , despite trying his best to give a clumsy penalty away - decides to have him plodding around in midfield against West Ham at home - Christ how many strikers have we got now and he still plays one up front? - Even when we were two down the changes were baffling and amazingly our plodding defensive midfielder stayed the full course of the game, and given that we easily conceded three goals easily against a pretty defensive team was obviously a waste of space. His handling of certain players is more evidence
Others have alluded to his stubbornness or not learning from his mistakes - all of which is true because as I said he's a bit thick- For what it's worth I think he's a dead man walking.

The fitness team must be teflon-coated. They survived the attempted summer risorgimento in spite of the fact that last season we had several players crocked and a semi-static team that was supposed to be able to play at a high tempo. In fact, even in Rodgers' best season, the team, for the first 4 or 5 months, could only play at the pace and intensity he wanted for about 60 minutes, after which they looked knackered. The pace has not been there again so far this season. If the owners believe in the manager's style of play, then they should be alarmed at how slowly it takes to get the players ready to play it each campaign. And if they think that style of play is physically unrealistic, they should have urged a re-think long before now.

Good post.

It's a good point Macca. If our overseas brothers and sisters will forgive me I think our pre-season tours went back to being about match fitness and preparation rather than marketing and a massive PR exercise we would see a higher level of fitness - I wonder how many minutes the starting team managed pre-season ?

Yes, all very sluggish, wasn't it? And Rodgers and Co looked like they didn't really want to be there.

Some very points there, but I doubt the Owners have a clue about footballers fitness levels.

Thanks chaps - I recieved a lovely automated email telling me how much I had been missed so I thought it would be churlish to ignore it
Fuck, if I'd have known it'd have only taken an email I would have written an even lovelier non automated one donkeys years ago.

*starts penning email to themn & grumpymonkey*
