Boxing please

Yeah this has been lined up for a while, no idea why Canelo wants to do it though, Kovalev's division is dead, and there is far more money to be made with a GGG rematch. Re the weigh, Canelo has always had a fairly large cut to go through, but this time I guess he's going to go in as is after just regular training in the camp, no specific weight loss programme.

That’s the end of Price’s career. For the third time. Went down in the fourth from something out of nothing. Got up and I think his corner pulled him out.

After watching that fight, I'm wondering if there's ever been a worse heavyweight than Price. Even that dickhead that AJ took his first belt off looks like Ali compared to Price. Absolute donkey.

So, Wilder. Becoming a bit of a one punch specialist. He gets battered from pillar to post in his fights (he lost nearly all his rounds last night), doesn't really look that powerful overall, but then out of the blue lands a super-shot in virtually all his fights. Fair play to him. I still think Fury will beat him for a 2nd time in the rematch, and he's pretty much the opposite - Great boxer but no power.
Will be interesting if it's Fury vs Ruiz for all the marbles.

Wilders single punch power is absolutely devastating. How he could handle a top tier boxer I don’t know. Fury wasn’t 100% and hasn’t got the power to knock him out.

Usyk must be licking his lips at the division. I can see him taking all the belts.

Again true, though the way he got back up after taking Wilder's best shot - and the look on Wilder's face as it happened - made up for some of that.

That was truly brilliant. I think Wilder finishes the job next time whilst losing every single round.

Agree again. Fury will give Wilder a(nother) boxing lesson, but Wilder and his camp will have learned from last time.

Fury took that fight shortly after his comeback, from being an overweight drug addict. He should be in better shape next time around and will also have learned.

Although it was a fairly straightforward win for aj, it was boring as fuck as usual, and we all knew exactly what he'd do - jab with his massive reach, and do his best not to engage at close range if he could at all avoid it. Back to the Lennox Lewis days.
I think Wilder and Fury both beat him though if he performs like this vs them.
What the fuck was Ruiz thinking coming in over 20st the dopey cunt. Just cost himself millions and millions there by going out and partying for a few months, braindead. If he'd trained for the fight, he could have easily got himself down to 16-17st and I think his speed would have just been to much for aj. But that's the end him now, can go back to being a party boy and he'll live the rest of his life being the new buster douglas.

So it's the big rematch next weekend then. I'll go for 2 predictions - If Fury does what he says he's going to do (get into a brawl with wilder) then he'll be ko'd inside the first 6rounds. If he does what he did in the last fight, which is exactly what he should do, then I'll go for a fury decision.

It’s hard to disagree with that.

Apparently Smith has turned down a fight with Alvarez. Smith thinks he’s being undervalued and the rehydration clause is ridiculous.

I'm surprised/not surprised by that. Canelo is the main player, so he's going to massively get the lions share of any money, something stupid like 40mill to him and 2mill to smith, but how can he argue about that? Compared to Canelo he's an absolute nobody and not a ppv draw. Rehydration one is a weird one, Canelo seems fine at the heavier weight but must have some concern of how bigger Smith would come in, wouldn't have thought he'd be arsed because of the skill difference.

Smith is a world champ is his own right, why should he accept 2m to fight Canelo when he can easily make 5x that fighting BJS.

I think he made 800k is his last fight against Ryder so 2m for a unification fight in 2020 is a joke.

I think these are the 2 predicition most foresee, I believe you're only as good as you're last fight and Wilder stunk the place out in the Ortiz rematch and will do the same in
the Fury rematch.

Fury by UD.

Ive rarely been impressed by Smith. He seems like a fighter who is on it on few occasions. £2 million would be an insulting fee. Didn’t fielding get 4x that to fight Canelo?

Fury’s last fight was shite too. If that cut opens up again it’s game over for Fury.

Yeah ok he got caught few times early but spurred him on and dominated the fight even after sustaining the cut.

Wilder was getting outboxed every round.

I presume there's cuts of ppv etc. I think Canelo gets a massive flat fee now with DAZN or something, whereas his opponents, and smith in this case might be able to negotiate a tiny sliver of the ppv.
It's rubbish one from smith anyway, why bother doing it, he knows he'd get beat, concentrate on fighting fighters relevant to his career. Canelo should be rematching GGG tbf.

Thing is though, and the argument is used all the time, re A-sides and B-sides. If Canelo has a ppv, even against some random, a massive number buy it, and it makes everyone money. If smith has one and he's the headline, against some random, it's going to get virtually no buys. So therefore canelo is the draw, and belts are ten a penny, so why should he get massive money just because canelo is bringing in all that money? If it's 2 big draws I can understand the argument around cuts, e.g Fury vs AJ or something, but no one is arsed about watching Smith, and no one rates the belts any more to tune in either.

There is far too many belts and possibly weight classes too.
You’re right Canelo should be fighting Golovkin.
