I wouldn't go saying that to his face if I were you.
Yes found that strange too.The referee was a bit weird. The fight was about to be over, he split them up and deducted a point. For, reasons? Beating the shit out of the local guy is against the rules in vegas.
The ref looked like he was shitting himself the whole fight. In the first knockdown, the ref was more concerned with Fury than he was with keeping his focus on Wilder who was on the floor. He then began the count at 6! He was very strange. The referee was a bit weird. The fight was about to be over, he split them up and deducted a point. For, reasons? Shut up or you're dead
When I was about twelve my grandad said the most offensive funny thing that anyone has ever said when I asked him whether he was watching the Bruno fight later. 'i don't watch boxing son, it's chess played with black guys by jews'. Stick that in your BBC comments section and smoke it.
No offence to be taken. I don’t the the IBF, WBO and WBA champion of the world should “sit down”.
The current crop aren’t anywhere the greats standards. Lewis, Tyson and Holyfield would’ve had this lot for breakfast.
I still think Usyk will take all the belts in time.
Agree. I had an intense dislike of watching Lennox Lewis too, for similar reasons.Wilder's best moment was his very impressive mask/ crown thing with the red eyes.
Went downhill from there.
But while I do admire Fury's ring craft and his boxing ability, I still don't love watching him box as much as I Feel like I should. Doesn't ever seem to punch cleanly or spectacularly and his matches are scruffy to watch, tactical and with loads of holding.
I'm probably in the minority though, but his box office and popularity is almost entirely personality driven; loads of his fights are rubbish, or are elevated by his opponent and his own defensive skills and durability.
Usyk ? Only one win in the heavyweight division and it was a nobody. He’s still got a long way to go to prove himself in the division, provided he still has the motivation.
You’re about right though the current crop being no match for the oldies but I must make an exception for Fury.
Today he looked a completely different animal, devastating, after switching style under Sugar Hill. Wilder didn’t know what hit him. The old Fury said it himself - his slick feign-and-jab moves didn’t have the power to knock out Wilder. But today he looked every bit the knockout king. 6ft 9” of towering menace dancing like a butterfly, with an unorthodox defense and boxing technique that is now armed with lethal knockout power. There’s nobody quite like him in boxing history. Closest I can think of is Foreman and he’s only 6’4. Fury’s definitely up there with the best and I reckon he’ll give any former great a run for their money too.
