Boxing please

Brook will do that unless Khan catches him flush with one. Khan's punching at its best could spring a surprise in that fight.

What was Hopkins doing anyway fighting somebody at the age of 51?

Anyway, he's a bellend - good he got knocked out.

My mate thinks not, but I'm convinced he's broke. You always see him at any goldenboy events, but I'm convinced he's broke, there surely can't be any other reasons for him to get into the ring now. He's not got a zero, he's not trying to break any records, he's not fighting on any sort of regular basis.

Golovkin-Jacobs confirmed finally for March.

Meanwhile, Canelo has been installed as the mandatory challenger for Billy Joe Saunders' WBO middleweight title (the only one Golovkin doesn't have). Negotiations on for making that fight in May.

If both Golovkin and Canelo win those, we should probably see a middleweight unification bout in September between the two.

Watching the boxing recorded. (no spoilers about degale please) Just watched gervonta Davis put in an astonishing performance. He's some fighter this lad. Exciting to watch, loads of power, arrogant as fuck.

He's gonna be a star.

That Degale fight was a really good one. Proper war between two good fighters.

Floyd being a twat, and saying that they aren't interested in a rematch.

Yeah, it was a really good fight actually.

I agreed with the majority of independent scorecards, I thought Jack scraped a win by one or two points.

There will be a replay, no matter what dickhead says.

The WBC has told Jack that he has to defend next against Callum Smith not a rematch with Degayle, else they'll strip him. So he vacates the belt and goes up in weight like he wants to (and makes DeGayle drop his belt to follow him up there, which Degayle doesn't want to do), or fights Smith and keeps his belt.

The WBC should let smith and degale fight it out should Jack vacate and move up in weight...clearly has no intention of a rematch.

Jack vacates the belt. Lets see if Degayle fancies going up in weight for the rematch he wants then.

Pacquaio allegedly in the final stages of booking a fight vs Khan. There's another ko for Khan on his record then. He's going to end up with serious brain damage at this rate.

Haye v Bellew this weekend.

Also, Danny Garcia v Keith Thurman, which I'm really looking forward to.

Don't rate Bellew but I'll watch the fight. Presume he'll get smashed inside the first 6 unless he holds on for brain damage over 12 rounds. The fake rivalry stuff with every single boxing match is getting really tiring now though, they're all just doing it to chase the coin and sell ppv's. Bellew should be staying in his own weight bracket and trying to unify the belts if he was any good, but much like Khan they're just chasing a big final payday.

They're a pair of pricks. I'll be made up whoever loses.

I can see bellew being asleep inside 6 minutes. If he can last longer than that we can start to see how Haye's shoulder holds up.

This. I think Haye will be too much for Bellew.

Haye's comments about the fans are ill advised to say the least, but at least it's going to ensure a good, if angry as fuck, atmosphere.

I get the feeling that the edge between the two fighters is genuine this time and that may keep Bellew going beyond the first couple of rounds. Whether that'll be enough to swing the fight meaningfully in his direction, though, I have my doubts. Can't see past a Haye win myself.

Well they're both complete pricks, so it's easy to see why there's animosity. Bellew is the worst advertisement for Scousers in a long time, & Haye is an arrogant, condescending twat, who is a very talented boxer, but isn't even half as good as he thinks he is.

David Haye randomly flew to Munich last night. This surrounds rumours he has an Achilles issue and went to see a specialist over there.

No way a professional boxer would travel this close to a fight other than promotion or medical reasons.

I thought that Haye's behaviour at the press conference in Liverpool was cringeworthy and not what boxing is about.

Calling Bellews fans retards? Well done, that could very well spill over into crowd violence at the actual fight. Plus comments about hospitalising his opponent are in poor taste. Never seen this side to him to be honest.

I can't see Bellew winning and he's a lot of a nob too, but at this moment in time, I wouldn't be unhappy if he won. Certainly generated some hype around the fight to draw in more viewers!

Haye's behaviour does suggest that maybe he's worried about something or desperately craving he limelight in any way.

If he were injured then it would so some way to explaining his behaviour, though not excusing it in any way.

That said, before he made his comeback he was making snide comments about other boxers whenever interviewed.

Haye is selling this fight to the max. He knows he can easily beat bell end and wants to draw as big PPV crowd as possible. He will then cry till he gets Klitschko or Joshua. Another massive pay day. Lose that fight and never fight again.

He is skint after his divorce so trying to talk his way to pay days. He turned down a world title fight for this so it shows what he's after.
