Boxing please

Yeah, Bellew always looks so awkward to me but he won that well despite getting knocked over (including full backflip!), leaving himself wide open and at least half his punches missing by miles

Think it's just Bellew's style. He's definitely more brawler than boxer which is to me is the reason is fights are entertaining...someone is always likely to get knocked out

Good win for Bellew, fair play to him. That other geezer was bollocks though, some of the belt holders these days are a joke, probably as there's too many.

Liam smith retained his title in an easy 2 rounds.

Apparently kell brook turned down £600k to fight smith and Liam has a big fight lined up in the autumn.

I was referring to the guy on the left...very slim physique apart from the gut hence "skinny fat".

That's just some geezer they've pulled in off the street and offered five hundred quid to fight someone.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but there are so many different interests to be catered for (the bigger the fight the more there tend to be) that it sometimes surprises me they get arranged at all.

Fury fight has been postponed due to an ankle injury.

Liam smith is fighting Canelo in September.

That's one thing that's always puzzled me about boxing, sometimes there seems to be an age between a fight being organised and the fight itself.

There's a long wait for this as they're both already signed up for fights in the next month or so. Reports also say that should either lose their next fight this one is off; contractual clause apparently.

Thought that was good fight card. Although I will say, and this might be a bit controversial, but I don't think Anthony Joshua can 'punch'. He a big strong athletic guy, but he seems to try and muscle his shots, instead of throwing punches from his ankles upwards and drive through them, he seems to rely purely on the strength of his arms and shoulders, there's no snap to his punches. You compare him to a guy who's not in as great shape but knows how to throw a bomb with his body. I think he'll be very successful as the HW is so light on talent, but he needs to get challenged and hit in the face, these idiots he's been put in against are just target practise.
Eubank on the other hand, looks a real talent. I even think he could upset GGG and he's a brilliant fighter.

I'm looking forward to GGG vs Eubank.

Sunday mirror reported fury is under suspicion for drugs. Could be the real reason for the postponement of his title defence. He's now out of his training camp getting smashed watching the Euros.

India's finally got a competent pro boxer on the circuit. Vijender Singh in the super-middleweight category. Excellent amateur record with medals at the Commonwealth, Asian and Olympic Games.

Turned pro last year. 7-0 record so far with 6 KOs, and won the WBO Asia Pacific title last night. He's also beaten the likes of Badou Jack at the amateur level; so looking forward to see what this guy can do.

He has turned pro too late...they will milk him for as much money as he can get and dump him.

His opponents will be heavily managed.

Andre Ward easily outboxing his challenger today. Ward v Kovalev on for Nov 19. Should be a great fight.

GGG vs Brook tomorrow night. When it was announced I thought brook had no chance. Rumours circulating GGG isn't 100% and they've been getting bigger with the weigh in. GGG gave no smiles and no interviews afterwards. He just turned up had a few pictures taken and left.

When I saw Brook interviewed on Sky earlier today he came across as very, very cool and focused. I was impressed.

Too close to call IMO.
