Boxing please

I've always been baffled as to how sky justified adverts. They charge a fortune subscription then have shows & sports sponsored, & then bang adverts in as well.

At least the ads here aren't as bad as the US. Those 42 min shows we stream & download fill hour long slots. Almost a third of every hour is adverts. Mental.

Yeah, they manage to make an episode of the Simpsons last half an hour.

American football is ads with some sport in between them.

David Haye makes his comeback this weekend. He's fallen so far the fight is being shown on Dave.

I hope he gets banged out.

That's the one. It is their first boxing show.

Sky, BT, box nation, ITV and the BBC must just not be interested in him.

I know stuff all about Haye's opponent Mark de Mori so I have no clue what to expect from the fight.
Lost once and has 26 KOs on his record.

Haye has been out of the ring for 3 years and has a dodgy shoulder. I took 12/1 for di Mori to win by KO.

Hardly surprising Haye won and did it quickly. He'll have a few of these fights and then look to use his mouth to get himself a fight (and huge pay day) against Joshua.

Quite surprised with his size though; actually looks like a heavyweight rather than a blown up cruiser weight now. Think that could be a long term strategy given the size of Joshua, Whyte, Fury and Wilder

He looked big but he was in the ring with someone of equal height. Put Joshua in there and he's going to look small.

The big TV companies were right to stay away from that. His next fight needs to be of a calibre of opponent who will throw a punch. He also needs 2 or 3 fights to get match fit. By then Klitchsko could be fighting Joshua.

Well that was a bit odd. Glazkov fell over then fell over again and it's over. Seems to have done his knee in.

Tyson Fury just popped into the ring, stuck his head right up to Wilder and shouted "I'll beat you, you ballbag!"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

There are going to be murders and rapes, someone had better warn the police in advance of this.

Kell Brook made an interesting point about this one, he said said that it's win-win for Khan, because when he loses, he can wheel out all the excuses that he'd have beat him at his normal weight, and he wasn't his normal speed because of all the weight he put on etc etc and then he'll go back down to his normal weight division.

In other boxing news, Tyson 'dickhead' Fury has claimed that he's turned down an offer of a split of 120mill to fight Wlad again, on a super yacht in Dubai, infront of 120 millionaires all paying in 1mill each to go to the fighters. So a minimum of 60mill for him you'd of thought. The only stipulation was that only the 120 millionaires were allowed in with the fighters and their teams, no journos or fans etc, just them. Unless fury is talking shit and has made this up and it wasn't legit, then he's absolutely off his rocker and a bottler. That's mayweather sort of money for a fight, he'll never get that anywhere for a rematch, not even if he managed to sell out wembley.

I think they're some very astute points from Kell Brook. I really think that Khan will get knocked out and will spend most of this fight running before trotting out some of the excuses alluded to by Brook. He'll then try for the big payday against Brook who I hope tells him to go fuck himself which is unfortunately unlikely to happen given the amount of money involved

Think he's full of shit.

He's also saying he may never fight again if he's not completely happy with the terms of a rematch with Wlad. It wouldn't surprise me if he followed through with it and then spent the next 20 years spouting shit about never being beaten for the titles and being the best heavyweight ever because of it. I hope he doesn't as I'd like to see him get in the ring with a heavyweight who can actually punch, which he's not really done in his whole career, so someone can knock the pikey manc out and end his career that way!

In an ideal world, he'd fight AJ when AJ is ready, then AJ fucking blasts his head off in one of the first few rounds with a vicious KO, and then he takes the belts and is the future of the HW division. But, I can see the twat fighting Wlad again, doing the same ridiculous 'boxing' style again and fluking it again, it's sods law. If Wlad fights his normal fight, I don't see how it's possible for him to win again. But considering this guy isn't a proper boxer, and is just a very tall, fat, doorman-sort, he'll be made for life if he does have the rematch, and can have his claim to fame that he beat one of the best HW's of this generation, once, by fucking about for 12 rounds.

Anyone gonna watch Frampton v Quigg?

I want Frampton to win but hearing he is struggling with the weight which would massively favour Quigg.
