This ^^

I hated benitez for fucking us over, and i stuck up for roy giving him a chance but i cant anymore, these results are fucking pathetic

Whoever Professor_Mac may be, I agree with everything he says. Hodgson is taking the blame, but it was Rafa who ran down our squad to its current sorry state.

If Kenny Dalglish had been appointed manager, he would be gone by now, because one thing he proved for certain during his managerial career is that he cannot handle stress.

For the record I want to publicly disassociate myself from this Mac who I suspect is not a member of the Professoriad.

I believe Professor_mac is a professor at the University of the South Pacific. He is entitled to use that title because he paid $10 for it by Paypal. ;D

i read people blamin roy, sure he may not be the right man BUT PLEASE look at the team/squad. he inherited. if i was an an inter fan id be shit scared.
kuyt - no skill work hard player
jovanvic - kuyt mark 2. willing runner but lacking in skill or vision
johnson - 18 mill? fuckin hell
lucas - fuckin hell
carra - past it?
ngog - hasnt done it
poulsen - people blame roy for this but that fuckwit eduardo macia was behind this transfer.

We were beaten by blackpool. All those players you mentioned above would easily get into their squad. Again, we were beaten by Blackpool!!

I couldn't disagree more, I'm afraid. For one thing his departure came after Hillsborough, a one-off reason if ever there was one. For another, the very fact of his appointment would have lifted a big part of the gloom surrounding the club before Roy even arrived. Last but not least, I'm confident that the squad - which is not good enough to take us back to the top, but not relegation fodder either - would have performed a lot better for the King and that our league position would have been correspondingly higher.

Completely agree with this - Dalglish is now the only option, and I dont believe we would be in this state if he had been given the job.

That's not to say that Hodgson has fucked it up all on his own, rather that he has come in to a very difficult situation, and failed miserably to negotiate the trials and tribulations of a job of this magnitude.

Even if youre the standout, A1, choice for the job it can happen - when youre the only taker after some spectacularly average options have already distanced themselves from the job you definitely need to get off to a good start. He hasnt. The writings on the wall.

When we sack Roy, will he get stick for pocketing his Millions? Did Houllier when he and his staff got over 10 Million and Evans and Souness?

You'd think Rafa took it from the safe the way some people talk

Benitez left Hodgson with essentially the same squad that finished 2nd in the League minus Alonso, Hypia & Arbeloa, replaced with Johnson, The Greek & Acquilani, which then finished 7th.

Hodgson's impact and changes have us sitting in 18th, the onlt League win being a scrappy 1-0 home victory over the mighty West Bromich Albion.

And our worst start for nearly 6 decades. But it's all Rafa's fault.

Don't forget that Mascherano is overrated and Roy was right to replace him with a cheap experienced alternative and spunk the rest of the money away on an attacking midfielder that plays in the same position that Cole was promised (who Roy signed). Thankfully Roy had a plan for that and decided to play the central midfielder on the wing.

Roy was been a complete twat so far.

[/quote]Yup. All those things he was supposed to take a sensible pragmatic decision on he's fucked up completely. He's like that fast show 'oh bugger' character.
'Rrrright off to the game, knowing my luck I'll fuughet to play our centre midfielder in the middle and we'll lose to blackpool'

It was when I realised I'd been self-duped, about a week ago, I changed my avatar to suit the mood.

This is what my Sheffield Wednesday mate just said:

i see similarities with our situation, the manager seems to be out of his depth at a 'big' club due to his negative outlook on football. the 'avoid losing' mentality instead of 'try to win' being employed by us in league one or liverpool fc in general is criminal. both managers seem obsessed with stopping the opposition playing instead of aiming to impose swfc/lfc's will on said opposition.

all we need is lucas to play on the left side of midfield to have 4 CM across the park. genius, the opposition will never break us down then.

The worst thing is that he is failing so miserably, we are failing to stop the opposition playing and our midfield is being dominated.

how many times did I say careful what you wish for when some of you jokers were spouting bile about Benitez.

I really can't believe some of you can show your face on message boards.

Actually I can. A lot of our fans are utter, utter disgraces.

I cannot believe what is happening to LFC.

It wasn't a mere blip, the signs were there all through his tenure, he made mistakes and repeatedly failed to learn from them, and he squandered £80m in two seasons on DROSS.
