Perhaps the American press know they will end up having to ask the question to Kayleigh McEnany, who will proceed to break that figure down a little bit, and low and behold see that a fifth of those deaths are in New York, which is run by virtue signalling democrats, and then if you add in its fellow democrat neighbour New Jersey, together they account for a third of the dead. That wouldn't really help the press achieve their goal in the election.
NY does hold 40% US population, so not unexpected is it?
