Leave it out lads, it's rumour season, he's posting rumours and contributing, take it or leave it. Most of what's posted out there is speculative bullshit, even those from so called credible sources. 99% of what we get fed is based on either fragments of information or next to fuck all, that's the silly season for yer, if we didn't have this stuff we'd have pretty much nothing to talk about while there's nothing doing.

I don't mind him contributing. I don't mind it at all. I like seeing us linked to players.

What i do mind is hansern posting a tweet from someone not on this site, about an article he hasn't written, and has been posted already.

HAnsern could have said " posted an article in the suarez thread about barrat sayign we're after this guy"

But no, he trawled twitter and found a guy who adds no new information.

Why?

THAT is my point. ITs a ludicrous waste of time for hansern to post a completely nothing tweet when he could just post "barrats linked us"

Why does that matter to you? What a ridiculous (and IMO disingenuous) fuss to make.

The article was posted after the tweet. It usually happens that way seeing as you have to subscribe to the Times to read the articles and those who do tweet the interesting stuff before someone copies the whole article.

Either way, its as Peter says ridiculous to make such a fuss about it.

It's not disingenuous

It's literally my grievance with that post.

Ridiculous? If it's felt to be that way (and judging by the overwhelming reaction it has been) then so be it. I just cannot understand the thought process behind the action in the slightest.

Breaking news -

“@FormerGaucho364: If @LucasLeiva87 can by some miracle convince Bernard to join Liverpool. I genuinely think i would empty my balls.”

Grow up lads. If anyone makes a contribution of speculative bullshit, respond or don't. the choice is yours. Stop the slagging and acting like proper twats!

Now kiss and make-up!

So where is the quote from TB that says we are interested in Bernard?

Not someone saying he said it, that ACTUAL quote?

Ps-I'll get pissy about shite twitter rumours as much as i please.
Moan all yous fucking like.

It's one sentence in the Suarez article saying "Liverpool are monitoring bernard"

For a player we're not gonna sign, I'm annoyed I got so annoyed

@Fabio - relax mate ... well all take the plunge ... once it's over, you'll see how there's no need to ross Hansern ... he's doing nothing wrong really.

The thought process was explained to you Fabs. The tweet was posted before the full article was available.
But sod it, cant be bothered with it anymore.

You know I love you xoxoxo

"Liverpool, who are monitoring Bernard, the Atletico Mineiro winger, feel they are in a strong position due to Suarez having a further three years remaining on his contract. As expected, they have told him to join up with Rodgers’s squad in Australia before their pre-season friendly match against Melbourne Victory next Wednesday."

From TBs article dated 16th July. Same info that was in the tweet.
Who tweeted it is irrelevant seeing as Barrett was the reference.

I'll keep posting them, and maybe even more now as it annoys you so much.

If you're gonna post twitter rumours about players we probably won't sign just make sure they're all really exciting so I can keep kidding myself that we're gonna win the league

Bernard is pretty exciting though. Brazilian, pacey, attacking midfielder/winger and creates and scores goals.
The name is ridiculous but the player could be great.

He'll probably go to Porto but we can at least try to sign him. Cant to much harm.

Yeah but I don't want just one sexy Brazilian, we need at least 4 or 5

This is why 3rd party ownership should be banned in football altogether:

A Bola have claimed the Portuguese champions will put in a bid of around €22m for the player as they look to bring in their tenth signing of this window. Despite the high transfer fee and competition from other clubs FC Porto will be confident in landing Bernard due to third party implications. Bernard is part owned by the Banco de Minas Gerais who have connections with the Portuguese club and therefore a deal would be easier done.

It's not a twitter rumour. It's 'information' passed on by Tony Barrett (and also Chris Bascombe in the Telegraph) via a Twitter user, because the Times itself is behind a paywall.

The worst that he can be accused of is posting a Twitter rumour about Tony Barrett, but I'm not sure even Twitter has reached such a stage of absurdity that people are frequently making up posts about what football journalists have written. That doesn't seem like something we need to guard against yet IMO.

I wasn't being too serious, I just like us being linked to lots of good players

at least we are being linked with exotic, skilful type of players and not overpriced domestic trite. let's hope these links actually lead to results.
