I'd give my right bollock for a secret citing signing.
Arshavin to Arsenal and Berbatov to Man Utd spring to mind (timing wise)
Ain't going to happen - just another sequential transfer window of negative spend which will continue till our owners go.
Im not talking to you for the whole rest of this day.
But it be the truth and you knows it.

Goal.com UK can reveal that Liverpool had accepted a £5million offer from Tottenham for Ryan Babel earlier today. Carlton Cole and West Ham have somewhat confused matters.

David Ngog - club form 62 games, 15 goals ~ 1 goal per 4.83 games
Carlton Cole - club form: 217 games, 48 goals ~ 1 goal per 4.52 games

Not much in it.
So. They're both shit. We knew that didn't we?
Well yes. The only thing I can see is that Ngog is 21 and can still get better and has shown brief signs of improvement. End of the day, yes Ngog is not good enough and Carlton Cole certainly isn't
15 in 62 for a 21 year old playing in the Premiership & Europe is not bad at all.
Apart from the fact that such a small number of those goals/games were actually in the Premiership.....
His record in the Premiership is on par with Cole, give or take.

Keep Ngog and play him. At 21 he can improve far beyond Cole's level.

Well according to a direct message I just got on Twitter from a guy at the bbc.
Sound. I'm not really that bothered either way but if it's to fund Carlton Cole, I'd rather give it a miss I think. Pav might be a decent option for a low fee.

Its goal.com...

But still...... if we sold Babel at 5 million, i will abduct Roy's grand daughter and ask him to pay the difference in value to the club.

We have moved on a hell of a lot of players at a loss. This we can do without.

Good, if that means not getting Carlton Cole
Now he is staying, I would take Cole or Pav. Strengthen the squad.
^

Wont happen though

I'm happy to keep Babel, even if it means missing out on Cole. But I'd like to see him i) picked up front ii) at the expense of NGog.

I think Pav would be a decent signing. A definite improvement
Yeah. A Premiership goal every 4.5 games. Hooray.

Plus he's slow, and lazy and not much of a physical threat or presence.

I'd take Carlton Cole ahead of him.

Hicks is a fucking cunt.

Seems Spurs have an offer of 10M on the table.

I would love to accept that but hard as it might be if we don't have a striker signing then I'd have to turn it down for now.

It's not as if we needed another striker anyway.

And Granddad was very specific in the type of "profile" of striker he wanted in his comments about Toivalen.

Now we know exactly what kind of profile he meant: non-existent.
