Audi Cup 2017

Play a high line against us and we'll man handle you. Nothing new really. I'd honestly rather play the likes of West Bromwich, Burnley, Bournemouth etc in pre season and see how we fare against teams who park the bus.
Athletico will be a quality test. They defend first and foremost.

It could well be like the day we played after the Barca game. Where we got thrashed.
Against Mainz, yeh probably, you have to think Klopp will tell them to lower the intensity, but at least Atletico will be in the same position.

Godin will be suspended after getting a red card yesterday.
Will be a very different test for us, against one of the best defensive teams out there.

Who will twat Torres and raise to stardom then? My money is on TAA

Is TAA going to start though ? He played 80 mins yesterday, 45 mins max I suspect.

We took 30 players to this Audi cup. I can imagine wholesale changes for the first 45 mins at least and then bring on others as required to rest players, fitness boost or because we need to. I'm sure Klopp would like to win this even though it's just a friendly comp.

Gomez, Origi, Ings and Clyne not fit are they ? Even though they traveled. Milner had a niggle but he's likely to play I guess.

Starting Lineup ? Mainly but not exclusively based on minutes from yesterday.

......................... Mignolet

Milner ..... Matip ............. Klavan ...... Robertson

............. Henderson .... Wijnaldum

.......................... Lallana

Salah ............... Solanke .......... Kent

Coming on in the 2nd half : AA, Flanagan (LB), Lovren, Can, Grujic or Ejaria, Coutinho, Mane, Woodburn. Flanagan to start at RB if Milner not fit.

I suspect Grujic to start over Henderson. Yes we want to win it, but we also want to see different alternatives in intens situation.

It's awesome that I get two evenings of football though.

And that we're playing decent teams. I know it's pre-season et al, and different teams are at different levels of fitness, but it is fucking ace to be able to watch us play Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid in the space of 48 hours. Will be a good warm up for when we win the European Cup at the end of the season.

Could be : Mignolet, Flanagan, Gomez, Klavan, Robertson ; Lallana, Grujic, Wijnaldum ; Kent, Solanke, Woodburn.

None of those started last night and we surely won't risk the same players. Milner to come on at HT, possibly in midfield and some of the others who started yesterday will have some minutes before the end.

Atletico also played a strong side against Napoli so same goes for them.

Ghoulam, Hamsik, Callejon and Insigne the players who remain from Napoli's starting XI yesterday.

Bayern have a completely changed starting XI.

Liverpool have confirmed that goalkeeper Danny Ward will be named in the starting lineup for this evening's Audi Cup final against Atletico Madrid.
The 24-year-old has been selected by manager Jurgen Kloppto don the Reds shirt for the first time since May 2016.
During the club's pre-season schedule, Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have shared the goalkeeping duties, and now Klopp wants to assess Ward's qualities.
