Its not really pathetic. He earned his wealth. He played his heart out for his country every time he got a chance. He is one of the all time highest goal scorers for England.

Personally I don't hate Owen at all, because I don't expect footballers to be any more virtuous than the average bloke in the street, but some of those questions are still ball bouncingly funny.
People have to give up lots of things they'd otherwise enjoy, like unhealthy foods, petrol fumes, jessica alba, looting the trafford centre, etc. So when there's a chance to enjoy something at no cost to yourself only a morally insecure moron would deprive themselves of it.
