Having just sold two of their only really class three players along with some decent support (Squad) players, they then get lashed 8-2 at Old Trafford.

The reaction? An enquiry re. Benny and a punt on a has-been Brazillian CB.

WHAT THE FUCK!

When we had our best player ripped from our hands we reacted by buying 2 exciting players to fill the gap. One deal being pushed through in less than 24 hours.

What on earth are Arsenal fannying around at? Buy Cahill, Baines and someone to run your midfield you fucking eejets!!

Nasri tweeted that Arsenal are obliged to sell big name players and invest in youth ones.
That is why he made up his mind to leave in June.

I think Wenger has been stubborn at times and in the long run it's probably cost them (though there's no excuse for the way the club have tightened the purse strings now), but he's probably taken them as far as he can. Even though he does seem to revel in the challenge of going out and buy a load of unknowns, right now they need experience, which costs money. I won't be surprised if he ups sticks if things stay the way they are.

Arsenal should be spending and spending big. Any big club that has negative spend in a transfer window indicates problems ahead. We know that better than anyone

This is what happens when you try to get rid of the Bendtner.

what if money is been syphoned to pay for things other than players, we know that better than anyone as well.

Still not a good place to be mate

They should buy Javi Martinez, Hazard and a CB like Hummels.

Dont hope they do it mind. Martinez and Hazard should come to us instead.

nope it isn't, and I have sympathy but I see spurs and arsenal as direct rivals for our return to the CL and CL is vital to keep the likes of suarez happy so we have to ruthlessly capitalise on their misfortune like spurs capitalised on ours to get into the CL.

Who gives a fuck about Arsenal and their pretentious "we're better than youse because we play tippy tappy football with no trophies" attitude?

Let the fuckers rot.

I am inclined to agree with Spider and Spion, I shed no tears for Arsenal I want their fourth place.
It is strange though, where has the money gone, has it gone ?
The new stadium was meant to be paying for itself with increased capacity and the property deal on Highbury, although I understand the Highbury thing has suffered in the economic climate. They have not spunked millions on players over the last few years, as a gesture towards the new stadium costs, they have just sold two of their best assets , and have a frugal wage structure, so where is it going wrong?

regards

The Gooners are right and proper fooked unless they pull a few rabbits out the hat. Hazard, Cahill and a few other players in the least. Hell even Benny Onion will do for them.

Well whatever happens, I'm noone too fussed. They're getting what they deserve for being frugal.

Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Werder Bremen centre-half Per Mertesacker BBC Sport undertands.

Great signing for Arsenal if true.
[/quote]

wow, great signing.

if bolton read that will start shitting bricks.

Arsenals last accounts showed 90m sitting in the bank, 30m of which they were precluded from spending by loan agreements. And we know they've just taken in another 60m.

Something must be up with Kroenke's takeover

More steam on twitter about this, reckon it'll be finalised tomorrow. Amazing signing if true, I'm a little gutted we didn't go in for him. Would love to have a German in our team again.

I was thinking Martinez would be an excellent signing for them. I would cry though, he's my favourite starlet about, he's a top top player. We could have got him for £20mill instead of Henderson

I've read many a post and article going on about how "Arsenal's economic model" is the only sustainable option.

Hmmm, is this really true? If I were an Arsenal fan, then I'd be wondering whether their economic model is possibly flawed OR their manager is a stubborn bellend who refuses to believe the evidence in front of him (maybe he "didn't see it"?) OR a combination of the two.

Obviously the time to laugh will be at the end of the season when and if they have not made the CL or finish lower than we did last year. But frankly, all the Arse fans I know, and I know a lot for my sins of living in and around N London for the past 10 years odd, are not very happy at all about the state of their club.

Amusingly though these same fans took the royal piss out of me and my club last year and previous years because of the farcical ownership and Roy Hodgson. So forgive me if I laugh fucking royally at these once smug cunts who pay the highest season ticket costs in England.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

PS I've always hated Arsenal, it stems from losing in 1971, losing various long winded FA Cup Semi's in the late 70's against them, 1987 and fucking up Rushie's record and not forgetting 1989. Bastards! Bastards! Bastards!

I hope you fucking rot.

Bitter much Jon? 😉

I reckon it's the takeover, as Ross says.

The only problem with that theory is why would Wenger not do a Rafa & come out against him in public? Why should he have any loyalty to Kroenke?

Because he's building an awesome undersea base with his share of the profits and it's not quite finished.

Nah, not his style, he'll be building a secret underground genetics lab & have spies all over the world stealing bits of messi's hair & kaka's dead skin.

No shit? Anyone would have thought there was a deadline 🙂

The worst part of all this North London idiocy is that they are now trying to buy with two days left of the window and a massive bank balance.

Could their bargaining position be any worse?

Apparently the Gooners have had another Cahill bid rejected.

This time it was thought to have been ~£12m

So, Mertesacker, Andre Santos and Park Joo Young. Panic buys or the usual scouting brilliance by Wenger, reeks of the first for me.
Cant see how any of those will improve them enough to kick start their season.
