I think the ref would have been perfectly entitled to deny the penalty. That's one issue. Then there's the issue of the intention of Carsely and the intention of N'Gog. But the focus of the ESPN replays on what else N'Gog could have done was fanciful. Whether you're looking for a pen or not, you'd still go down, as Gerrard did later on.

I don't know why I'm doing this tbh Dee.

Of course I think cheating is wrong, but I don't think it's wrong because other people will mock me for it, it's wrong because it's morally wrong not because it becomes something people can use against you.

That said, I'm honest enough with myself to say whilst principally I don't condone cheating today my sheer relief at the goal trumped the principal. I'm sorry if that makes me a bad person.
