Kenny was quite positive about him in his book - albeit just a short paragraph. I think if AA is open-minded, both parties won't mind him having another crack at Anfield. FFS, Juve just spent 2.5+15.5m euros on Alessandro Matri!

I thought that fee was already agreed
If this latest rumour is true, then they're obviously trying to get us to lower it.

we now have two first chioce forwards leaving 4 slots in midfield on of which is taken by gerrard.
say we buy ONE quality winger (and I'm pretty sure we will) that leaves 2 places up for grabs, if aqualini is good enough to snatch one of those two places regularly then bring him back, if not sell him even if it's at a loss to get him off the wage bill.
Quite honestly, where would he fit in?
get him off the wage bill and replace him with someone who is going to start every week.

We already lost 7m if he goes for 10m. Blood sucker. Get him back!

Imagine if we could recall him:

Gerrard Meireles

Aquilani

Kuyt Carroll Suarez

Tbh I'd rather get Cole off the wage bill.
Aqualini did more in his injury plagued season here than Cole has done so far.

I think the story is BS, the fee is agreed beforehand. And if not, great, we'll have him back thanks.

we really to stop making fantasy selections without a genuine ball winner, it isn't going to happen.

It's not BS, Anita. I have Juve-supporting relatives and one has confirmed to me that they're trying for a discount, agreed price or not. He's also said he's pretty sure they'd stump up the money if they're not successful, which is another reason why I reckon we have to hold out.
Exactly. They're trying it on, and we absolutely must not let them get away with it.
This.

We've already agreed a price. Pay it or fuck off or we'll have him back!

There is no negotiation. They're already getting a fair price, given how's he's played so far this season.

having him back isn't an option. his wages are to high for someone wont figure that often in our team.

Juve pay what we agreed by the end of his loan period or the price goes up.

Simple as.

it's still unbalanced and there is no width.

personally I think in the summer this will happen;
* we'll buy a ball winner
* we'll buy a winger
* we'll sell aqualini
* we'll sell kuyt

gerrard*------------meireles---new CM------new winger
----------------suarez-----------carrol-----------------

*free role

I'll be surprised if that doesn't happen in the summer.

Diarrhoea is a pretty good ball-winner. That's not all he is, but it's a good enough part of his game for him to be regarded as our ball-winner if we were to sign him.

Gerrard will be 31 next season and won't be able to charge all over the pitch much longer. He'll need to adapt his game so he can play into his mid-30's. He obviously has the ability, physique and know-how to play DM. Also, his passing from deep would give us something Mascher couldn't and Lucas (it goes without saying) can't.

gerrard being a holding midfielder is a waste.

Juventus are reportedly concerned by the price tag which has been set for midfielder Alberto Aquilani, who is currently on loan for the season from Liverpool.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that they are eager to make the former Roma star's switch to Turin a permanent one, however they are not willing to meet the €12 million (£10.2m) asking price for the midfielder.

Juve are hoping to solve the issue of players on loan, Aquilani not being the only player to be temporarily with the Old Lady. They want Liverpool to agree to hand them a "discount card", after paying his wages for the season.

Liverpool paid €20m (£17.1m) for Aquilani in August 2009 when they signed him from Roma.

They can try for Charlie Adam instead.
10 mllion?

That can't be right; I thought it ws 13 million.

There are probably other teams willing to buy Aquilani if he doesn't want to come back that is.

Apparently its 16m Euros so Avvy your figure would be right - very interesting article here: http://www.serieaweekly.com/2011/01/alberto-aquilani-liverpool-misfit-now-central-to-juventus.html

and some key points below kind of show how far he has come since having regular first team football:

A simple look at his passing in the run of games since he arrived tells the story of this impact. He has completed a staggering 90.12% of his passes this season. The range of those efforts is similarly excellent, often releasing the wide players with deep cross-field balls, adept at finding team-mates – primarily Milos Krasic – and prompting them into some wonderful attacking positions.
But it is more than just his passing and his sumptuous goals against Lecce and Bari that make him indispensable. Aquilani has, under Gigi Delneri, already become a much more rounded player and his defensive effort also deserves special mention. The two matches at San Siro in particular showed this new side to his game and the player himself is quick to acknowledge this;
“I am now more of a central midfielder. Before I was further forward in the offensive phase, but I have to have more balance and be careful also in defence. Delneri has changed me, I can now defendâ€

would be interesting to see whose range of passing is better out of aqua and adam. if aqua is a better player then what is more expensive, paying 8m (or whatever the fee is) and then adam's wages or paying the wages of aqua, a player we already own?

If Juve cannot meet his asking price, I think Inter and AC will be interested.
Exactly. There will be other suitors after a good season.

If they were able to afford 25M for Melo, 16M for Aquilani shouldn't be too hard to stomach.
