Very perceptive of you Modo to point out we have other useless players on our wage bill as well as Aqualini
Meh, can't do nothing about it, why bother.
Mind as well get rid off some more dross while the door is still open.

yeah we have nobody but ourselves to blame for this , well we can blame rafa , actually wait we can blame the shitehouse aquafanny also . Ok we have to be sensible and make some money back but fuck if this is true then ac milan have well and truly bent us over .

I blame Hodgson. He's the one who started the whole loan dealy thingy.

I thought Rafa had complete control? That's why he kicked off for fucking ages

He clearly only had control of all the things we got right.
All the things that went wrong were in the control of someone else

Even you don't believe that!

Possibly not, but nothing that he has done since we bought him suggests he is worth anywhere near 17 million.

To be honest I am surprised anyone is even willing to pay 3 million for him. Not saying he is a bad player, but we have hardly taken a tough stance on bargaining have we? For years now we have made it blatantly obvious we don't want him.

That was just a bad deal. Paid too much for an injury prone player and with a hefty wage bill too. If he earns a salary of 4.5M per season and we sell for 3M, we effectively are saving a wad.

If I'm reading Corriere Dello Sport correctly, they have just said Liverpool are set to terminate Aquilani's contract.

Aquilani is apparently going to get $3-4M in pay out by Liverpool.

Milan are then apparently going to sign him on a 1 yr contract on roughly 40,000 euro per week contract.

What ? Whaaaaat ? Why would we do that ... ?

It's speculation/rumours at the moment. But if it was true, it means.

1. No club that Aquilani would consider joining is willing to pay the bare minimum of what we want.

2. Milan know this ... Milan want Aquilani ... they've well and truly played their cards right. They've essentially signed a player that they wanted, and won't even have to pay a fee despite him being contracted to another club.

But why would we pay off his contract ? I mean, we may as well use him as we wouldnt be saving any wages would we?
