ALBERTO AQUILANI has reportedly revealed that he’s close to Milan.
It seems that Milan have identified Aquilani (27) as a perfect addition to their squad and whether he’s Miser X or not, he appears to be on his way out of England and to Milano, Italy, where he will play with AC Milan.
Reports in Italy suggested yesterday that Milan and Aquilani’s agent, Franco Zavaglia will meet on Monday or Tuesday to close the deal for the player who was signed by Liverpool in 2009 for a fee of €20 million.
“I am close to Milan,” Aquilani told reporters at “Golf resort Argentario” in Porto Ercole (Tuscany) as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. Milan are believed to sign the player on loan with the right to buy him fully the next summer. If a loan move collapses, Milan could sign the player for just €7 million from ‘Pool.
Those statements have not been denied or confirmed by any side. Max Allegri did not rule out Aqua though.
