Look on the bright side everyone. We got Aquialani on the cheap. We'd have had to pay 30 million big ones for him if he wasn't a crock.
Indeed. This signing is proving to be an even more costly fuck up by rafa than the last twenty million he spent.
Again, behave.
I think the signing of Aquialani will prove to be the breaking of Rafa mate.
I don't mate.

Not finishing in the top 4 this season will be that.

If we can get our better players fit - Torres, Gerrard, Johnson, etc, then we'll finish in the Top 4, regardless of Aquilani.

Ryan's optimism has gone from:

'we're still in this title race' to

'we can still make top 4'

I look forward to

'we can still finish ahead of sunderland if we keep our best players fit'

Kinda, but more like the selling of Alonso.

Yeah but not having the Italian available for 4 months of the season is making finishing 4th a harder task than it needed to be. The injuries to the others you've mentioned couldn't have been foreseen. We bought Aquiliani when he was crocked.

And your posts have evolved from...

'Lucas is a cunt' to

'Lucarse is a cunt' to

'Lucarse the anti-brazilian and Insua are both cunts'...

Over the space of 12 months. Taking barbs from you about posts in this Forum is liking heeding advice from fucking 'Fox' in the Music, Film and TV one.

Well, I think if we can get Torres and Gerrard on the pitch consistently then we're more than good enough. I said before the season started that I had zero expectations of Aquilani giving us much this season, for a variety of reasons and I don't think that's changed.

Besides, in a fucking horribly perverse way, being out of the Champions League should ensure our League campaign isn't disrupted in any way.

well he made an appearance... "money in the bank" as Andy Gra would say 😉

Sadly it was less money in the bank than the amount of time my hot dogs currently taking in the microwave.

You think Rafa won't take the Europa Cup seriously?

Thank God our "league campaign' isn't going to be disrupted in any way!

Apart from having such a shit squad that Fourth will be considered a result

I haven't given it any thought to be honest.

Surely he'll give game time to some squaddies and youngsters in the earlier rounds?

Whatever he does, he knows finishing in the top 4 is his main priority.
In fairness Ryan Im not having a go at either player. But both signings have been major fuck ups. Keane was turfed out after a couple of months leaving us short up top and now we have a crocked italian which leaves us watching in awe the craft and guile of mascher and lucas every week whilst our season falls apart.
Whats the fucking point of bringing him on in injury time, fuck off Rafa you pedantic tit.
To waste time.

Ryan, I know we won so it shouldn't matter what playing time Aqualani got but the man does need some time on the pitch. You can't say he doesn't and if not against poor Hungarian outfit then when?

Many are treating tonight as a defeat as such as we are now out. Many saw this game as a perfect opportunity to give our new 20million player some minutes on the pitch. It's not as if Lucas was controlling the game to such an extent the that introduction of Aqualani (in lieu of Lucas) would mean we would loose a foothold on the game. Bollix. It was annoying to see Aqualani come on for 20 seconds where he could have had 30 minutes of football in the bank so to speak.

I really don't give a fuck if he does play or if he doesn't Dave.

We won the game, that's all I'm really concerned about.

Behave the fucking lot of you.

We're gonna win a terble i tells ya!
Is that what you ge if you win the Europe League? A trophy called the Terble?

Cool.

So you don't think our new 20million player should be getting opportunities to stretch his legs and get playing time under his belt?
They are not mutually exclusive Ryan.

Alberto needs minutes on the pitch. Tonight, was a fine opportunity. That is all a lot are saying. We are not trying to take anything away from the win, well i'm not anyway.

I didn't think tonight was a fine opportunity though, that's the point Dave.

In a game we we're controlling against average opposition?

Seemed like a fine opportunity to a give a 20million international 20minutes.

I fail to see how the possible benefits of doing that outweight the possible negatives.

As per usual, people are frantically searchng for a stick to beat Rafa with. Criticising him for a substitution he didn't make in a game that we won if fucking pathetic.

I don't share Ryan's optimism, nor his unrelenting faith in the manager, but he is right about Aquilani and I said as much in the match thread.

Who gives a fucking toss? People have become more carried away by this player than the club itself. (And this is from someone who rates the lad highly.)

What are the possible negatives you referred to above?

I never look to beat Rafa with a stick nevermind frantically search for one. I am as level headed as they come with regards to Rafa.
Your angle is we won so everyone has to keep their mouth shut about everything or we look pathetic? All I was asking for was that our new 20million player to get some playing time. Hardly scathing criticism on our manager now is it? Tonight seemed like a good chance for Aqualani to get playing time he is probably craving.
