Anyone still think a striker is still priority?

Some of us don't want to admit to the fact that Sakho is a fucking defensive monster who is currently carrying Crystal Palace on his broad back.

He had some awful to ordinary games for us. It's good he is playing out of his skins, we'll make a profit on him

Which means we should have no problem selling him on for a decent fee. Sure, he's a good defender, and we've missed him this season, but whatever it was that led to his excommunication, I'm sure it was a step too far to allow reconciliations.

The comment was that we couldnt afford World class players in every position, which is true. Listing some random names from 2012 and onwards wont change that fact. Everyone knows its possible to improve the team with some smart business. We did it this summer ourselves.

Need to do it again this summer.

And only one of the players you listed could be close to being called World class, and even then its a stretch, so that was even more pointless.

Sort the defence out as a priority. We are so poor defensively that any long ball into our box casues panic.

We need a new striker but a commanding GK, CH & CM must be priority.

Fee wise yes, but not quality wise in every position. Luiz, Otamendi/Stones etc. Loads of money for average players.

Playing three at the back, I do think that Sakho, Lovren and Matip is likely to be superior to a trio including Klavan. In fact, that's a pretty imposing back three. Even with a CB pairing, when we consider how much one of either Lovren or Matip has been injured causing us to play Klavan or Lucas, the Sakho situation has clearly cost us. Indeed, there's a few points gone in that decision. Obviously, it looks like there is no way back, but we should have used him whilst he was our player.

It's called good scouting. We're desperately bad at this and the names we [supposedly] have on our books inspire no confidence at all.

This guy may be leading our transfer finds
PETER KRAWIETZ - SECOND ASSISTANT COACH

First Name: Peter
Surname: Krawietz
Job Title: Second assistant coach
Joined: 2015
Profile
Peter Krawietz followed Jürgen Klopp to Liverpool in October 2015 to take up a role as the club's new second assistant coach.
The pair first met at Mainz 05, where Krawietz served as chief scout, and they have worked closely together ever since.
Despite having never played football professionally, the 43-year-old was a prominent figure at Borussia Dortmund during an era of great success under his compatriot's guidance.
Krawietz's expertise in scouting and analysis even earned him the nickname 'The Eye' from Klopp, and he arrived at the Reds looking to apply that knowledge in the Premier League.
An eventful first campaign saw a mixture of highs and lows, but on July 8 Liverpool announced Krawietz, along with Klopp and Zeljko Buvac, had signed a long-term contract extension.

I don't want to admit it because it isn't true.

He's playing backs to the wall football for a lower table Allardyce side who set up camp on the edge of their box and surround the box.

He had plenty of games to show for us he a) wasn't good enough on the ball, and b) had mistakes aplenty in him. It's debatable as to whether he's any better or worse than our current options, but it's not debatable - in my view - that he's not good enough for us.

And if we can get 20-25 mill for him this summer, we should take it and run, and invest in a quality CB.

Very very true but their has been certain games where we could've done with a clinical striker.
