Anyone going to Kiev...

I asked one of the Ukrainian mafia, apparently Kiev is nice this time of year, local beers are pretty cheap. She has a house but she rents it out ascend isn't interested in renting it out to any football fans for one weekend.

If you are looking for a house for rent in Kiev (Kyiv is the right name))) just use booking_com there are some holiday houses there. It is good joice if you want to live as a group of fans in one place.
And also I posted a link above - facebook group with free couch for fans)

Yeah I really would. If anyone I knew was getting on that bus id get involved

Andy, if I get a ticket then I’m seriously looking at this. I’ll have a mate with me but if you wanna jump on in London then welcome to of course.

What's the story on tickets got from the club? Are they tied to a name, do they add passport details etc? Will they be OK to pass on if the person who gets it doesn't go himself?

For Roma they wrote the name on With a pen. The Passport check was not that accurate, but I Guess they didn't want 2.000 fans With tickets outside the ground either.

The final tickets has a name to them however so it might be Worth looking into this issue.

Plus you get to stay in Doc Mac's love truck.
State of the fucking art love truck.

Ive picked a lane now Pete. Im going to the great city of Liverpool. I think the night out in Liverpool should we win will beat the night out in Kiev.

Am I reading that right? You think it would be better to be in Liverpool, than in Kiev at the actual game, if we won it?

Ooooohkaaayyyy

I kinda get this, obviously being AT THE GAME won't be beaten but once the stadiums empty and you're all fucking about in Kyiv, I reckon the parties the WHOLE city of Liverpool will be having would be better than the however many thousand who make it to Kiev will have?

It’s not just about being at the game though. The travelling, the build up, the day on the ale, then the match and everything that comes with that.

I went to Istanbul, and I wouldn’t swap it for anything, the parties in taksim square after the game were unreal, thousands of Liverpool fans fucking bouncing around the place until 6am.

Do you think everyone just goes the match then flies straight home?

If we win it then it’ll shit all over being in Liverpool mate. Why do you think so many people bother spending thousands to get there? Why not just stay at home instead and spend a ton going out in town?

Erm no Brother. AT the game is deffo better. At Kiev and not at the game isnt as good as Liverpool tho for me.

Think about it. Youre in Kiev and you dont have a ticket, youre in a bar on your own with a bunch of apathetic Ukranians.

If you are in Liverpool youre amongst your people.

Like I said earlier in the thread, if I 100% had a ticket then id go. No way id spend a grand travelling to Ukraine to sit in a pub on my own watching the game.

You mad fam.

Ok Good, sorry buddy, I read it wrong.

If I get 5 or 6 ticket in the ballot (no chance but you never know) then would you be interested in the road trip? Ive got 3 promised out so far like but If I get more then they are up for grabs.

Im doing the coach I think. It'll be mental.

Mate if I have a ticket id be up for it.

I'm hopefully taking my boy to this.

Got one ticket sorted and 2 of mine in ballot and the brother in law has another 2 in the ballot so will hopefully get the one more I need.

Not to mention most over there will probably be without a ticket. Be bedlam over there if we win it. One massive party.

You really don't know how this all works do you? There'll be big plasma screens and all that in fanparks rammed with Liverpool fans not lucky enough to be at the game - the buzz and atmosphere will be electric. Not that it beats actually going to the game, of course it doesn't, but rest assured those without tickets won't be watching it in some shitty little pub full of locals.

You seem to think this is like Paris or fucking Cardiff dude.
Its the fucking Ukraine.
People arent going. If they have a ticket they will, most wont. Its not going to be how you think it is.

We had about 50,000 in Istanbul, only got allocated about 17000 tickets and I reckon we must have had 40k in the ground.

Athens was around the same, maybe a few less but I’d still say about 40,000 travelled.

People go without tickets in the hope they will get one.

Andy, I know you wouldn’t do that and it’s fair enough, I’d be the same myself. I’m not going unless I get one.

But there will be about 50,000 Liverpool fans in Kiev on the day. The bonus that we play Madrid, is that their fans have been to finals 3 our the last 4 years so might not make as much effort to get there. The novelty may have worn off.

3/4 of that ground will be Liverpool supporters. It’ll be epic.

I agree on almost all counts. I genuinely agree re-the ground. But I just think far less people will travel without tickets.
Kiev isnt Athens or Istanbul. If it was our first final in 30 years i would agree but I just think most not all but most wont pay a grand to go to the Ukraine

A ton of people booked relatively cheap flights etc to Kiev long before the semis. Not all of them will get tickets, but most will probably still travel

e.g. Woland ... but I hope he gets a ticket
