...the ball from Kuyt to Torres for the first goal was as good a pass as any ever played by Iniesta, Xavi, Xabi or Gerrard.
It was pure and utter class. Not bad for a player with no touch.

And with that im off to bed.

Yer as i said in the match thread, that ball was genius, and may i also say to come back from a long time out and put in a performance like that and the work rate he put in was stunning

he's an inspiration to other players to do the same

Yes. A wonderful ball. Absolutely perfect.

And John Terry is a complete and utter cnut... That assault on Torres was disgraceful. How the blinkin' flip did that not result in a yellow card?

Oh, and I LOVED the way that Fernando was already off and celebrating before the ball hit the net on his 2nd goal... He knew it was in the moment it left his foot. Magic.

A few comments: Can't be arsed putting this into something more flowing and bullshitty, so bullet points it is:

* I didn't think Kuyt was great actually. Gave the ball away a few times especially when we were under pressure to keep it, but he more than made up for it with his workrate. Oncy nailed it - forcing Chelsea wide everytime he had it.

* Cech's save with his feet from Dirk's shot on the turn in the second half was unbelievably good.

*I thought Meireles was really good. One in the eye for those that complain players "need to be played in their best position" to be effective. Stuck on the right wing he worked his cunt off, kept possession when he got it, and kept Ashley Cole pinned back. Really impressive.

*We finished the game with Martin Kelly, Jay Spearing, David N'Gog, and Jonjo shelvey on the park - against the best team in the country. The might or might not be good enough in the long run, but Christ it's nice to see a bit of youth running around busting their wee cunts off.

* Chelsea were too slow moving it in the first half. Anelka and Malouda are good, but do they need to show it by taking 20 touches everytime they get it? If they'd have moved it quicker we'd have been in more bother.

*Have we lost while Henry's bird has been at the ground watching us? Lucky mascot.

Any idea why Maxi, a RM, was played on the left and Meireles was played on the right?

Meireles is left footed, is he not?

The possibility of her saying "no chance with me for you, ever" scares players into putting a performance on the field.

Nope, he's right footed.

Dirk Kuyt clearly pressed LB+Y for that first goal... epic pass.

lol fifa 11 through ball

Also worth mentioning: Wash's magnificent turn and pass to Maxi in the final minutes. Should have been a goal really, or at least a penalty.

Blatant dive, he messed up that chance for a third good and proper.

if I were doing a chalk board the thing I would stress most is the fact the team is slowly but surely learning the faster you release the ball the more openings you will create or way take 10 touches when 1 touch will do.

we dropped way too deep in the second half but I guess given the two goal lead it was understandable.

I think if the score were 1-1 or the result were in doubt maxi would have gone for goal (as he did last week) rather than trying to round the keeper.

Just watching the game again on LFC TV and ive got to say i really love that first goal.
We won the ball back high up the pitch, passed it quickly to kuyt whos pass was fucking lazer accurate, then the instep midair takedown from torres is utterly beautiful and the strength to hold off Terry before a deft bounced finish into the far corner. Its fucking art it really is.
The second goal is a great strike but the first goal is a super team goal.

I just said exactly this to my friend.

I love the first goal more...

I prefer the second, mainly because Torres's strike is so clean, but also because both Meireles's pass AND Torres's strike had to be literally inch-perfect. Otherwise the Chelsea defender would have blocked the pass and Cech would have saved the shot. It was amazingly precise.

I just love the reaction of Cech. It's like "what the fuck just happened??".

And Terry too. He looks pissed. The big cunt.

My guess is that it's a reference to the occasion when John Terry's mother was arrested for stealing food and clothing from Marks & Spencer and Tesco, it was in 2006 I think.

Could be this......

Jersey shopper pays £5 more because of resting breasts
Shopping basket A woman was charged an extra £5

A woman was overcharged while buying fruit and vegetables from a Jersey supermarket - because the shop assistant's breasts were resting on the scales.

Jim Hopley, chief executive of Channel Islands Co-operative, said the assistant's seat had been too low.

Mr Hopley said this had caused the shopper to be accidentally charged an extra £5, which had now been refunded.

He said they had taken action to make sure it did not happen again.

"We are obliged under weights and measures law to ensure that things are appropriately weighedâ€

Mr Hopley said he had felt the need to deal with the issue himself.

He said: "The way I considered this was as an operational issue, I should have put my operational people out to deal with it, I even thought about my security people.

"At the end of the day I decided that I'm the most politically correct individual in the business, some of my girls in the office might laugh at that, but it is true so I decided to handle the matter myself."

He said it had all been dealt with quickly and that he felt sorry for the woman on the checkout.

Mr Hopley told BBC Jersey: "It was resolved instantly, I feel very sorry for the individual involved, she mustn't be embarrassed.

"It was an unfortunate incident. The poor lady involved was totally mortified, but the customer rightly was concerned about it.

"We are obliged under weights and measures law to ensure that things are appropriately weighed when they pass across these scales."
