We'll win the lotti! Adebayor, Pirlo and Alonso on Carlo's transfer wish list
By Matt Lawton and NEIL ASHTON

Carlo Ancelotti will sweep into Stamford Bridge tomorrow and launch a summer of frenzied transfer activity.

The new Chelsea manager, who signed a three-year deal worth £18million plus bonuses in Milan late on Sunday night, has already identified a number of players he wants billionaire owner Roman Abramovich to bring to west London.

Kaka, who was with Ancelotti at AC Milan, and Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery top the list, although last night Chelsea insiders feared that both players were bound for Real Madrid.

But the 49-year-old Italian will also urge his employers to go for Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor, Milan and Italy playmaker Andrea Pirlo, Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso and possibly even Glen Johnson, who has grown into an England right-back since leaving Chelsea for Portsmouth in August 2007 for £4m. Chelsea captain John Terry, meanwhile, has publicly urged the club to go for Valencia’s David Villa.

He won't sign Pirlo AND Alonso - they're alternatives for the same spot. I would hope we would refuse to sell to Chelski in any case.

They can have Alonso if they give us Essien.

I love Pirlo but I think he'd struggle in England, especially coming here as a 30 year old ... But who knows.

Yep, I'd take Essien for Alonso too lol
Then he could do Xabi and Masher's jobs!

I imagine he'd be a bit like Deco - would look a genius in August and September, then fade as the weather got colder and the tackles got hotter.

Essien can do Xabi and Masher's job?? ?? Hilarious!!

That statement alone makes him the Worlds Best Central Midfielder. In fact he is not a normal footballer, he is superhuman.

Fucking hell!

Deco and Pirlo in CM for Chelsea would be orgasmic 5 years ago...Now however..
Deco's gone already isn't he?

Inter.

My bad then. Thought he was confirmed. He's only confirmed he's in talks then?

Frank meet Xabi.
Xabi meet Frank.
Now you will be team mates.

If Xabi is going anywhere, I would think he has enough reasons not to join Chelsea and to go back to Spain to settle with his family, thats the way I see it, he stays or its the continent.

Whats your evaluation?

Given that City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Madrid? Milan are all interested now lets say a bidding war ensued, at what point as 'Ceo' of Liverpool would you say 'We'll take it'?
20, 30, 40m?

I'd sell for £25M on the proviso that the money is ploughed straight back into another world class player and not multiple Latino starlets.

I'd only consider a swap for Essien or Fabregas.

Everybody bloody wants Alonso. You see, Rafa? You see that?
I would have thought that Rafa's made it abundantly clear that he wants Xabi to stay, Anita... Am I missing something, or is this still about last summer?

I get the impression Anita doesn't believe Rafa when he says that.

Funny how Rafa's loudest critics make so much of his stubbornness and then proceed to outdo him in that very area time after time.
