He still scares the bejesus out of me everytime he gets the ball, but he's trying his hardest, I'll give him that.

Agree with Macca. He's trying his best.
But he has no talent. Enrique's taking a bloody long time to get back. Hope he's ready soon.

He's very good with his positioning going forward, but he simply isn't very skilful or talented on the ball.. he'd be an excellent attacking full back (given his size and power) if he that ability. But he doesn't. So we need better.

Like it's been said. He's working hard and trying. So I can't be hugely critical.

He's a really good defender, he can't kick a ball though, which is a slight draw back. He's solid though and great at one on one defending.

I've slated Cissokho as much as anyone but today he was very solid. His best performance for us.

Fair play to him, he always give it everything.

I'm warming to him a lot after the past few performances. We could do worse than have him as LB cover for this season because, after a very slow start, defensively he's improved a lot and in attack he now seems to know (or he's been told) don't try to do it yourself, be there as support and offload ASAP ! 😀

Come on Mark, Charlie fucking Adam skinned him with a dribble. He's shite. 'A' for effort though, so I don't dislike him Degen style.

I can't believe he's yet to be penalised for a foul throw. His back foot gets lifted every single time, without fail.

He was flawless today - some massive tackles put in, i actually prefer the defensive stability and basics he gives us - all you people yearning for Enrique's return will soon change your minds when tried to dribble the ball out of the box or meg someone by the corner flag rather than just put his boot through it.

Enrique's an outlet for the CBs in our own half. His confidence on the ball is a much bigger asset to the team than you might believe.
With Cissokho, he'll get the ball, panic, then either pass it back to a CB or DM who'll be under pressure, or aimlessly punt it.
I've seen Enrique get skinned by a winger maybe twice throughout his time with us. Nobody gets past him 1vs1. He's miles, miles better than Cissokho.

I think Enrique's a good solid fullback, but he has his flaws and they're frustrating in their repetitiveness, when he was in the team people were still crying out for us to buy a left back, so he didn't exactly cement his place for the longterm. It just seems fashionable to lay into Cissokho, he's a bit unorthodox but he's nowhere near as bad as some people make out. He's filled in well and we actually look alot more balanced and solid with him and Flanagan at fullback.

I'm probably in the minority but I certainly wasn't crying out for a new left back. He can be frustrating at times but so much of our good play last season have come from the left hand side, primarily with the involvement of Coutinho, Enrique and Suarez.

And Johnson this season has been proper shit. I think it's quite obvious why we're looking a little more solid now at the back.

he has surprised me, no way as bad as some suggest, but by no means is he the future. under BR we need fullbacks to be an outlet for possession and he falls down here badly. Sterling helped him tremendously to avoid a repeat of the Emirates.
