Weirdly, although Klopp clearly hasn't fancied him, he's played some of his best stuff since Klopp arrived, despite only getting bits and pieces of games.
Limited players often look better in short spurts.
For 13m ! Ha
He's yet another one of those players that whiteboard fans and people like Brendan Rodgers talk up as being some kind of "thinking man's footballer" and proof that they see beyond his size, stature and lack of pace, can ignore the fact he managed ZERO assists in the Premiership after three seasons, an average of less than two goals a season in all competitions, a mediocre long-passing range, and no ability to beat a man.
He's a player for the connoisseur. Like Xavi, Iniesta and Pirlo. So much of his fantastic work goes unnoticed by the usual Cro-Magnon knuckledraggers who like speed, shots at goal, sublime skill and ability to win a game. or dominate a midfield.
By now Rodgers said he'd be worth £30m.
He wasn't even worth what we paid. Because he's a deeply ordinary footballer who has no place at Liverpool. i'm glad he's going.

After a strong Euros he's probably worth between 15-18m, but with only a year left I guess we're taking what we can for him now.
Well if we can sell Ibe for £15m then I'd expect to sell Allen for at least £20m. He had an excellent European Championships, made UEFA's team of the tournament, and at 26 still has a big part of his career ahead of him.
Yes. In today's climate, he's probably worth that now (20m). But with only a year left, 13m is a fair fee. Unless we can start a bidding war and have Swansea come in with 13m(+add ons).Well if we can sell Ibe for £15m then I'd expect to sell Allen for at least £20m. Allen can sign a pre-contract with Barcelona in January and leave on a free. It's not a bad price really.
Stoke fans weren't overly enamored with Shaqiri last season and his lack of effort in many games was evident. He was ok in the Euro's but aside from one stunning goal he was as average as the rest of the Swiss team. Most Stoke fans want him to stay but more in the hope that he shows his "true" form this season. I'd say he's still worth about what they paid for him.how much would shaquiri go for right now? still can't fucking believe we didn't go for him. complete no brainer.

Kinda reminds me of what Klopp said about Balotelli.
Even called him "world class".
Still....
Does it matter? Point is, he didn't come out and tell everyone that Balo is wank.Out of context quotes can make anyone look a twat. He said he'd shown world class glimpses in training but had to produce that on the pitch, that was when it looked like he might have to keep him about for 6 months too.

Brainer
Yeah, but there's the imminent issue of his contract running out in a year. That is another factor.
Gotze has gone to Dortmund for what is reported as about £18m for the same reason.
Far too frequently we want to get rid of players while the other clubs necessarily don't or make it seem they don't want to sell.Good point. Although in this summer where clubs are paying over the odds left right and centre, I still think that 13m is too low. If Stoke really, really, want him, they should be pushed into paying more. I mean, that's what would happen if WE were in their position.
