Looks like Iran have stolen two British associated ships in the strait of Hormuz, after we illegally nicked one of theirs in Gibraltar on Americas orders. So we're as bad as each other.
Will be interesting to see if they go straight for the nuclear option of using physical force of the military or try and barter their way back. I think the fact that no British people have been detained will help them not give a shit. Surely military action must be a long shot - the boats are so slow moving that they could be easily scuppered, and the armed forces would have to come right within range of the enemy to do it in their territorial waters.
This stupid situation does serve us right for pissing about with their ship under Americas orders. Can you imagine America calling China or Russia to steal the boat, they'd get told to jog on, we do as we're told.
