I wanNaby (Under the sea in an Octopus's Garden in the Shade) - Deal Confirmed

I'll always call him by his full name like people do with Joe Allen and David Silva.

Yaknowwhatimean?

United fans are happy for us too, especially since they had one of their famous long running threads running from start of last season:
http://www.redcafe.net/threads/naby-keita.424005/

I think this is the first time I seen LFC doing something in advance like this proactively, normally it's always the so called big 5 european clubs

Let's see how happy they are for us when he plays in the Liverpool side that batter them twice in the league & then again in the CL final.

Fuck you man! I was here all along, & didnt start packing up before he signed like Count did.
Fox, Fox, Fox.
Don't you realise that I only left camp once I knew he was signed.
I am embarrassed that I couldn't pass on the news to my fellow campers but I was sworn to secrecy.
Besides, I wanted to get to the Lemar camp site before every one else to snag the premium site for my camper

We did similar with Divok ... and Grujic. Did we not ? Signed them and then loaned them out for a whole season.

I propose a Keita thread in FF, which will keep those of us who don't have time to watch German footy or search for clips, updated as to how he is getting on in each match. It'd be interesting to see how well he plays on a regular basis, the type of sides he struggles against, how quickly he comes back from injury etc.

Yeah but don't think of them at the same level especially with the size of the fee. Just didn't think Leipzig will even would have considered it but I guess the buyout fee is a big factor.

Oi! You cheeky cunt! I was right there polishing @the count shoes and making sandwiches filled with rohrphol while wandering around trying to find any hot water!

As you are Mr. New Movies, I cannot afford to lose you to the other sites for trailers. Hence, like with fox & mystic, I need to keep your involvement in our camp quiet.

Liverpool have secured a club record deal for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita who will move to Anfield in a year’s time.

Keita was Jurgen Klopp’s prime target throughout the summer but he was frustrated in his efforts to secure the 22-year-old in this window.

However, Keita has an exit clause of £48 million in his contract which can be triggered in 2018. Leipzig were prepared to negotiate now to secure more cash. Liverpool were happy to move now to ensure they were not out-flanked in the future, with several others circling around the Guinea midfielder. Barcelona have been linked with the player by Catalan media in recent days.

It is quite a coup for Liverpool, even if their preference was to recruit the player now.

Keita made it clear to his club he wanted the move, but with the Bundesliga side preparing for a Champions League campaign they were not prepared to deal.

Leipzig never shifted position since Liverpool made their official moves for the player, with respective bids of £57 million and £66 million. Klopp would have broken a club transfer record by £30 million had the last offer been accepted, but the rebuttal of such a staggering sum underlined the Germans were not bluffing with the public statements insisting there would be no sale.

Instead, Keita will become the club’s record signing ahead of next year in a deal worth more than £50 million.

Liverpool have a considerable transfer kitty to spend should the right players become available – that has been the case all summer – but it has been a tricky market.

They would spend whatever it takes to sign Virgil Van Dijk, but fear Southampton will not invite any offers before this week’s deadline. It could be Liverpool also wait until January or next summer for Van Dijk, if Saints stand firm and the player is willing to be patient.

Liverpool are also exploring numerous other options, none of which are related to Philippe Coutinho’s future. Coutinho will not be sold under any circumstances in this window, regardless of whether Barcelona launch a fourth bid.

Well that's stupid if true.

Perhaps not so stupid if Barca are already prepared to pay £75M for him now. I shudder to think what kind of prices we'll see next summer, especially after Messi moves somewhere for 300M+.

Can we get Barca to pay 100 million up front this summer as a deposit for Phil. Player and the other 50 million next summer
