There's nothing casual about our homophobia.

We're way more organised than you think

I don't see what's homophobic about making a joke involving Oli and his friend sticking Monopoly pieces up eachother's bums at a dinner party

It's just a joke.

But.... aswell as it being a joke, it is actually what I think happened

I’ll tell you who isnt the Firm.
Redninja.
He said in the Fekir thread a few days ago Fekir was done and we are persuing no other targets.

I do wonder if we pay 65m how much further would we have had to go for Oblak. The best in the world.
Maybe another 20m? 30m whats that in this day an age? A back up DM or something.

He probably spent pursuing like that, too*.

And spells perusing like that also.

*That's the joke isn't it? I bet that's the joke.

I just think Monopoly pieces are too small. Otherwise the story checks out

100 mill euros is his release clause, and we would have had to pay that in full.

Been reported in both the English and Spanish media;

His contract at the Wanda Metropolitano runs for for three more years, but Liverpool made an enquiry to the Spanish club over whether he would be available this summer.
However, Atleti's response was a price in excess of £80million, believed to be the release clause in his contract.
Liverpool will simply refuse to pay that figure - more than double the current world record fee for a goalkeeper.

Well, the other bit is self explanatory, surely!
Not really. Spanish clubs often have arbitrary buyout clauses.
Id be very surprised if a tenth of the players sold from La Liga touch their buyout clause.

Im not saying he *wouldnt* cost 100m im just asking why Hansern is so adamant. We WILL pay the full amount.

Thats all.

So we are willing to pay 62m for fatty but not 80m for Oblak.
Thats kinda what I was saying. I dont see why we wouldnt pay the extra. Hes a MUCH better keeper.

Ah, ok. I guess it's down to whether the club are open to selling or not. And I think AM probably are not in this case.

Not sure, but arent we paying 53 mill upfront and 9 in add ons or something, compared to 88 mill. Thats quite the difference.
I agree about Oblak though, he's a much better goalkeeper and probably better than De Gea as well.

You can't stagger payments and include add ons to trigger a release clause.
