Betting Aintree 2013

Prefix for Betting Threads
Had First Lieutenant yesterday, yay.

And Nessie had a tip for connectivity in the last yesterday - backed it ew at 16's and it placed.

Today or the national?

Today is tricky, there's some well fancied favourites who if they perform will win but not everybody who performs at cheltnham does well at Aintree.

For tomorrow, I'm trying to work out the free bet shite from Sky, I'm already with Paddy Power, but the odds with Sky seem to be rubbish and I'm not sure if you can withdraw winnings from a free bet?

I haven't looked that much at it yet - the trends are now a bit redundant anyway since the handicapper changed his methods for this race.

I like Chicago Grey though for a start

In general though my preference is for something that's run the course before - either in the national itself or the topham(?)(the other race over those fences), in the 8-10 age range, good form over three miles or more, and maybe even went hurdling earlier in the season to ensure a lower handicap here.

I think I backed Chicago Grey last time, I've left it off my betslip but might take a small punt on it in the morning.

My favourite at the minute is Teaforthree.

Looks like I got ok odds early too, 14/1. Not great but I'm guessing the odds are going to shorten throughout the day as it seems one of the tipsters favourites.

Well done lads, always great to see an outsider win though, just a shame I didn't have it 🙁 Did each ways on three of the five placed, poor return though really, but a win's a win!
