Add one ex liverpool player to our team

What one player (doesn't have to be still playing) do you think would best add something to this team?

There's obviously no point picking clemence since we have Reina etc, but what one player do you think could fit in seamlessly(relatively) and make an automatic difference?

I'd have to go for Barnes purely because it's been far too long since we've actually had a decent winger. Imagine someone beating a man (gasp) and winging a ball into Torres time and time again.

Your thoughts?
 
Souness. He had it all in CM and could run a game. Plus he was a nasty cunt and I don't think we have enough of them ATM.
 
John Barnes.

I could have picked Souness or Rush or Dalglish but Gerrard does Souness and a bit of Dalglish and Torres does Rush. So we are sadly lacking at LM and Barnes in his pomp had everything. Pace, power, skill, temperament, end product, grace and touch.

A beautiful player to watch

Without having seen Miereles, we cannot get through this season with Gerrard Poulsen and Lucas as our CM options. If Miereles proves to be a player of quality, then Barnes is a great shout.

Aside from players already mentioned, I'd like to see McMahon or Beardsley back.

Our current team though is screaming out for John Barnes.

Rushie and Torres would get in each others way. John Barnes is what the team needs post at the moment. It was a privilege to watch him at the peak of his powers.

If I'm only allowed one player, I would go for someone who had an impact on every game he played, and I would therefore choose Kevin Keegan.

John Barnes. Our first team will just become even more potent.

If it is a player who is still playing...I would take any of the below.
Riise,
Alonso,
Masher,
Kewell.
