Anyone see the Boulton Vs Campbell exchange, Bouton didnt come across well.
I posted two or three pages back. Quality.

Enjoyed that. Tough job indeed ahead now

I will make sure I buy the kids something with family allowance this month as I guess it may be the last time I get it

All very dramatic scenes folks. Not sure if brown should gave paraded his missus and kids whilst resigning not very classy

oh well
Paraded? Not very classy? Get a grip FFS. I'm not his biggest fan but I think Brown has conducted himself admirably throughout this whole affair.

If there's one good thing to come out of Cameron becoming prime minister it'll be an end to your woeful right-wing punditry.

I think Fox should go into politics

Can you imagine him on Question Time?

It would have bigger ratings than the X Factor
How dare Brown have his family alongside him! Jesus Fox, that's such a bias thing to say it's bordering on the fucking mental.

This thread is not for you to be talking shit on Fox.
As for Cameron, well he started pretty well and rightly credited Brown and labour.
Apparently Nick Clegg is going to be deputy prime minister, bloody hell.
I wonder if there will be con/lib manifesto type thing and wonder what each party let slip to allow this coalition to work.

The beeb reported the lib dems have agreed the Tories 6bn public spending cuts.

There goes my job anyway.

Also
shouts of
'Who are ya, who are ya, who are ya'
and
'Tory scum' (I think)
were shouted out while he made his speech.

Yeah, true. Wouldnt effect me as I've not been there long enough, but if Bex gets laid off (which is more likely as the Tories HATE tax credits) then we'd have lost approx 55k. A lot of cash.

I've been through it in the past, me and the missus at the same time. Not nice. She took the cash and I went to another Department. I hope I don't have to go through it all again.

I've been made redundant once, to go through it twice before I was 30 would be a shitter. Both at the same time would mean we'd lose the house, literally. Scary stuff.

I've applied for an FLM position in CRB, waiting to hear from them, they seem to be much safer than the older dept's, hopefully.

My mum works for a government funded social improvement group, aimed at getting kids from poor & disadvantaged backgrounds into higher education. Exactly the opposite to the Tories ideal of the status quo remaining static forevermore.

I'm hoping the lib dem insistence on getting extra funds for disadvantged kids extends to this area.

I think the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives should be congratulated on overcoming the difficulties involved in putting the coalition in place, which is the best thing that could have happened in the public interest. I have heard a lot of sniping from the likes of Neil Kinnock and Alastair Campbell this morning, but really apart from a Tory/Lib Dem coalition there was no other workable choice - save for calling another general election immediately, which would have been a bad option.

To be fair mate they do live there. What else was he supposed to do, leave them with the Camerons?

I don't like Brown but he has behaved with dignity throughout this. I'm still glad he has gone though.

I agree I was wrong. I let my anger over Browns reign influence my thoughts there.

After reading this morning some of his quotes it seems he has been more honourable that I thought.

I was wrong.

Mind you Allastair Campbell and Mandleson are still undignified losing cunts.

You're always fucking wrong. About everything. Always. Because you're not very clever.

And Campbell/ Mandelson aren't "undignified losing cunts" - their machinations have had EXACTLY the outcome they wanted; Cameron and Clegg in a doomed coalition that may well fuck the Lib-dems for a long time, and will push through voting reform that will screw the Conservatives forever.

Labour Opposition to a Con-Lib coalition in charge of a fucked economy is precisely what they were after all along, given nobody thought Brown could win the election.

Cameron was so desperate for No 10 that all Labour had to do was maneouvre him away from forming a minority government into forming one that has acceded policies, and filled his own cabinet with an opposition party, not to mention a deputy PM who isn't a Conservative either.

They'll be dancing jigs of fucking delight from now until the next election. Which they will win.

.....is an opinion

I think this could work quite nicely, be positive you know you can do it .

You might try admitting when you are wrong sometimes, I will look out for that one

First part is an interesting theory bit not necessarily one I agree with

I don't think they will necessarily win the next election either. This election has left them needing a significant swing to get an overall majority. A lot of the previous marginals are now safe Tory seats.
