Do you still think we'll get at least 4th, if not 3rd, Asbo?
In fairness if you thought before last night that we would, you still should today - unless you thought we'd go unbeaten for the rest of the season. What happened last night is what has been happening all season and why we won't finish 4th - unless our player suddenly develop the ability to finish overnight.

No Hal , my 1/2 full glass crashed to the floor and smashed last night, and I'm resigned to 6-8th place finish, its all well and good being dissapointed with only getting draws again City and United, and loving beating Chelsea away 2 games on the trot in League and cup, but when the players can't score a goal against the whipping boys of the Premiere League, you know you are in trouble ...

Fair enough.
I have outside hope, but I'm not expecting it. I don't think I've expected it all season, and would have regarded 4th as a great achievement this season.
Top 4 is a whole new ball game altogether these days. It used to be set in stone, with maybe the odd surprise package, ie Everton and Tottenham. Now, there are 6 teams all very capable of being in the top 4, as well as the threat of surprise packages.
I'm still hopeful and optimistic of our future in the next few years. We must remember where we were 12 months ago, as well as the football we are playing now compared to then.
I am starting to worry, however, that I'll never see us win the league.

i was at the game last night, and again noticed a strange trend: i didn't really give a fuck when we lost. it just washed over me. and i haven't gven a fuck all season. i know one reason for sure is that i'm completely disillusioned with dalglish: the worst signings i've ever witnessed as a fan, and clearly taking us in the wrong direction. i hope he's not the manager next season.
but i think another reason is that i just can't get over the way rafa was treated. he should be in charge. i actively want him to come back ASAP. and i'm not sure i'll ever be bothered by a loss again until he's back - which i guess is ok by me.

Believe me, I tried but I just could not disagree with that post any more than I do. I have not disagreed with a post more in my life.
For all the disappointment of Fullham I at least enjoyed watching us play and some of the play was great. No cutting edge? True. But at least we played football. Under Rafa we didn't even get that - strangulation is, I'm told, one of the most painful ways to die. With Rafa we found it's also one of the worst ways to live as well.
Does it not say something that no other club in Spain, England or Italy have gone anywhere near him for nearly a year?
