Yes take those 3 out of the equation and this squad is fairly middling to shite.

I think you can remove torres from the list for next year unless nesv give torres some assurances and even then I don't think it will be enough to keep him at the club.

Glass half full, we have a WORLD CLASS spine already, perfect to build on!

we've been saying that since gh was here

gh
dudek, gerrard, didi, owen

rafa
pepe, alonso, gerrard, mash, torres

roy
pepe, gerrard, torres

obviously the flanks is the hardest position on the entire on the entire pitch to service because we haven't managed to do it in a decade.

Of course it's a joke article, but can you imagine any talented players wanting to work under RH? Can you imagine anyone decent from a massive continental club wanting to sign for him? He has to go.
Players will still want to sign for us because of our rich history, heritage and tradition. Liverpool is an institution in world football.

They may see Roy as a short-term manager brought in to stabilise the team. Many of us view him that way. If players look at how Henry turned the Boston Red Sox around, there may be a clamour to get aboard now. It's as good a time as any to get involved with the club.

Bright RED future ahead.................. and it's coming soon - hopefully with a new stadium!
Agree with all of this, except if Roy is still here. Then all your subsequent optimism is null and void.

depends how much of the top class players trust roy's ability to win stuff in the long run. if the answer is no then they will fuck off sharpish. at least they could look at rafa and see he is a winner (despite dreamy's claims to the contray).

Dudek was world class?
okay, maybe not.

I think he was up there with the very best of his day.

Pepe's better though.

Agree in both respects. In his first season for us The Dude was tremendous, and I've not seen many - if any - better saves in half a century than *the* double save in Istanbul, but Pepe would have to get the vote.

So the Budgie-faced old cunt has one of the World's best keepers having training sessions with someone three years older than my Dad.

Great work, you hapless twat
D'you know...my blood boiled when I read what the coach did to Pepe...and he previously coached shite teams !

I'm usually mild mannered too !

Roy oh Roy - is he the worst, most hapless and clueless manager of our club's history ?!

I laughed my tits off when I heard this story on the radio on the drive home.

£12m ?? That in itself shows its bollocks.

I don't understand the ageist remarks about the goal-keeping coach.

When people want to believe something in the Daily Manc , they do and when it does not suit them to believe it is a shite manc paper, which it is.

Make your fucking minds up if you think any of the red tops are credible or not.

Pepe might be very happy with him.

I look forward to seeing a strong, assertive categorical denial from Hodgson, and not some dithering abortion of a response.

not likely, he's got smaller balls than a professional bodybuilder.

He isn't though

OK I will bite.....How do you know?

Pepe invited Brendan round to his house for tapas and spit-roast suckling pig.

While the two of them were quaffing sangria in Pepe's garden, Reina - close to tears - unburdened himself to Brendan about the misery inflicted by the senile goalkeeping coach Kelly.

^^

Does anyone remember the Chelsea game in hs first season? Chelsea broke on the counter and a cross was floated over the right hand side of our penalty box to a completely unmarked Mario Stanic, who then struck the ball on the volley. My heart was in my mouth at the moment, but there was Jerzy. He made it across his goalmouth ahead of all his defenders, leapt spreadeagled and tipped the ball over the crossbar. EDIT: it was the 2002 game where Vlad scored the winner right at the end!

At that moment, I thought all our goalkeeping woes had ended. A solid goalkeeper with springs for legs and lightning reflexes. Mike Hooper, David James, Brad Friedal, Sander Westerveld all nothing more than bad memories. It was too bad Jerzy adopted a much more flashy style by his second season (ego perhaps?) and then the mistakes just wouldn't stop.

If we sell Reina and Kuyt in the next transfer window ill fucking quit Football all together..
Rafa will try and get Kuyt next summer.

Distraught if Kuyt was sold?

I'd consider throwing him out as part of the clearout. If Benitez comes in with good money, take it.

I know everyone laughs this off like it's a joke, but I can't help but feel nervous about it, I'd be heartbroken of we sold Reina, he's my favourite player along with Stevie. Plus there are all these rumours that he's unhappy with Roy.

He was one of the players particularly close to Benitez too.

Pepe is going nowhere. Didn't he sign a new 5 year contract last season.

£12M is not what anyone would be paying for him in any event. He is worth much more!
