January Dealings

Hard to tell beyond normal footballing dickheadness, money hunger or actually good enough to be showered with all the riches people are stupid enough to throw at him.
Klopp has name-checked him a few times so it could more the last.

His agents clearly trying to make Real feel like they have competition for his signature.

Haha, I'm probably still like 5 % hopeful of an Mbappe deal. Even if it would be hilariously expensive and that he's a dickhead. Its just cause its Mbappe.
Wont happen but every time there is a story like this you just think mayyyybbeeee.

Is anyone after Gibbs-White? Can't believe that no one has bought him yet
He was bought by Forest for 25m + 17m add-ons just last Aug.

It will take at least 50m to get him which is an amount we rarely pay. Forest are also in no obligation to sell.

Do we need a profile of a player like Gibbs-White when we have Dom, CJ, Elliott and Gravy?
We don't need a player in the profile of Gibbs-White even if we didn't have any of those players.

Let's stay on track with the areas that need filling as we're not privileged enough to get everything we ask for when we want it, so a RB, CB and possibly a DM.

Dont think we will be after Kone. Would have bought him this summer if we were interested.

I think his injury at the U21's scuppered any deal that would have happened. I will be honest with you despite @the count 's cheeky comment. No not a replacement for Jones - but we are actually short, I have no faith at this stage in Gravenberch - he will need the whole season to train with the rest of the boys before we see anything that matches the potential that Klopp sees in him. Endo has been nothing short of brilliant in my view, and we are seeing he has a high ceiling and everything you need from a ball playing specialist DM. The reason I want Kone is that I believe he can competently play in a double pivot, is a baller, and physically stronger/faster than Endo but maybe not the experience.

I think Endo will become a regular and I don't really want to see Mac10 in that 6 role, I know the stats show he did a lot of the defensive stat, but I think he gets exhausted easily doing that role, and we are not making the best use of him. Kone seems to be a guy that can play all positions in midfield either right/left/central/6 - he can be the main sub to replace szob/Endo rather than Gravenberch show seems to magnetically go the left. Also - this might sound racist, but Kone has that 'angry look' about him that Mane had - - he's a chunky fella, that will be combative as well as dribbling.

Have I sold the idea to you all ?

Injury prone, Thuram would be the better option

Injury prone ? If so how often and is it case of getting a player who will be available for at least 20 games a season ? There are advantages to this, as the load will be spread across him, Endo Bajcetic for the 6. With regard to Thuram, he could barely play the 6 in the U21 setup

The only guy that stands out for me in that team is the Brazilian CB. He’s pretty special

Murillo? He's good. Forest have a few decent players but I'm not sure how many of them would get into our squad. Sangare and Danilo are both very good players that could make the step up to European football

When did Ivan Toney become the saviour of English football?

Seriously, after listening to all the talk about him in the media you'd think they were talking about Gabriel Batistuta.

He hasn't played football for over 6 months.
Is he just gonna come in and start scoring weekly hat tricks?

You ask how injury prone, well they did an article on it. With the fitness regime Klopp employs, there's no way he wouldn't turn into another Naby

Has Sangare improved, because a few weeks ago he was described as a flop

I think it's due to the lack of valid options for teams who are in dire need of a striker. There's very few quality ones available, especially in January.

I've seen arsenal clamouring for Boniface. As if he'd leave Bayer at the minute. Vlahovic is an option as juve (again) are dodgy with money. There's just not much in the way of options

Yes but Klopp likes a few cripples don't he ? they tend to be loyal team members as they know they are getting good money while being out injured and realize they cannot clamour for regular starts. Besides, he would be a quality rotation option for LCM,DM,RCM,CM (in general). Also I checked his stats for last season and he played 30 games in the German league, this year obviously he had to get over his summer injury.

Yep this is the shit that results because of the training/coaching modern day footballers are given now, runners / ball skills / depending on physical attributes they should be able to cover along the line of the three parts of a team (up front, middle, defence). But those specific skills required for a specific position - they don't get the chance, I remember the days when every striker did what Haarland does - just hang around up front and do fuck all - just wait for your moment so that all they do is be ready to take the chance and finish. These days if a player does this - they are either regarded as a lazy fucker / waste of space.

Osimhen seem to be the one most top clubs could be after but he wont move until the summer (at the earliest).
