??? Why is it racism every time someone's colour is mentioned ? Squiggs' description is spot on - his style, size and colour does remind you of SWP - even though Sterling looks, at 16, to have a bigger bag of tricks. There's nothing wrong in stating the truth in a non-offensive way.

This kid looks fantastic, far far more than a half-time kid entertaining the crowd with ball tricks. How exciting would it be to have this lad at 18/19 coming on and creating havoc in defences like that. None of Lennon, Walcott or SWP having great finishing but I'd take any of them over Kuyt / Maxi on our wings !

I agree with you that he looks a fantastic prospect. Walcott, Lennon and SWP poor finishing or not, haven't done too badly have they? I reckon this kid could be better than them all.

this is for realsies? i'm confused as to how it's a racial issue when no negative connotation is associated with being black. If he had used a racial slur then yes. If he used a racial stereotype then yes. All he did was mention the kid was black to point out we could have a winger who has no end product like SWP. He picked SWP because he is another player who was meant to amizzin at youth level but turned out average.

Colour isn't an issue for squiggs and has never given any indication ever of harbouring feelings like that. You're looking for an argument kopking because you obviously like the look of this lad and are looking at things to try and rip apart people who don't agree. Nah I don't agree and don't buy it and don't try to tell me what I think either. It's patently obvious he's black so there's no need to mention his race. Just because SWP is also black and has issues with end product in his opinion, should have no bearing on what Raheem achieves or not.

Racists see colour before anything else, they also think all black people look alike, when there is a young white player with ability there is no mention of race, why is that? It's a rhetorical question no need to answer. I don't have a problem with race, he clearly does, I just called him on it. I'm happy with that.

My final point is Raheem is naturally gifted player and the most impressive young player I've seen so far in the youth/ reserve ranks amongst a number of good young players and I hope he makes it.
