Morgan scored 2 more - new Robbie Fowler or just the recipient of great service from several talented players?
He does score a lot of goals but it's too early to compare him with Fowler.
He's more of Mellor right now.
He doesn't seem to have much pace, Mellor seems like a good comparison.
Fowler was a genius. He had great ball control and his precision and finishing was out of this world.
Provide him with a decent ball in the box and it's a guaranteed goal.
I don't see that in Morgan I'm sorry too say. He's physically built like a young Fowler but he's missing the "it" factor which is quite visible in players like Sterling, Suso and to a lesser extent Coady.

On a different note, I watched an FA youth cup highlight reel of Chelsea U18 vs Watford U18.
Chelsea's striker Milan Lalkovic looks like a great prospect, despite missing plenty of clear cut chances.
Have a look at McEhran while you're at it. Chelsea's answer to Arsenal's Wilshare.
Here's the vid:

The IT Factor? Is that Simon Cowell's new show?

Raheem Sterling has scored 12 in 17 appearances for the U18's & also has 4 assists. He has 9 in his last 4 games. Raheem Sterling has scored in each of his last four games

Anyone know much about morgan? Please tell me he's our next robert bernard fowler?
"If you think Raheem's impressive, young Adam Morgan has scored 6 in his last five scoring in 5 consecutive games!"
Morgan scored again for the U18s today. High hopes or just another Mellor?
Updated stats from McParland's latest column:

"the lads had an instant spring in their step and the next day they bounced back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory at Newcastle United.

The first half was fantastic and Adam Morgan gave us a deserved interval lead. That was the ninth game in succession that he has scored in. He really is showing what a great finisher he is."

Re: Raheeeeeeeeem

impressive from morgan. Even if he develops onto an average striker, he seems to know where the net is. hopefully its not just a hot streak for the lad and he is that clinical

Re: Raheeeeeeeeem

OK, now I'm willing to upgrade Morgan from Mellor to Sinama Pongolle.

Re: Raheeeeeeeeem

Craig Lindfield scored a lot of goals at underage level for Liverpool too. I think he's a sub at Accrington Stanley now.

ADAM MORGAN SIGNS FOR LIVERPOOL FC

It is with great pleasure to announce that Adam Morgan who played for KINGSTHORNE for 3 seasons has signed contract forms with Liverpool fc.

Adam was a popular player who played initially for Carl Buoey when he was 5 and when he was 7 signed for Paul Cottier and was part of the 'Dream team' who won titles and cups.

When in 2004 Adam was asked to play for Liverpool he had to stop playing for KINGSTHORNE.

Adams closing goal was a memorable 40 yard volley in afriendly v Lorenzo boys from Norris Green at Hillfoot camp hill.

Adams KINGSTHORNE record was p137 - 132 goals.

We wish Adam all the best for the future and look forward to following his career.

Ah Pongolle. There's one chap I think we seriously stunted the development of. I liked the kid when he got minutes, and he was a huge part of the comeback against Olympiakos. Shame he never got the chance to play more often. Seemed to show flashes of ability down the rest of his career at Blackburn, Atleti, Recreativo, etc. but seems that he never developed the consistency or ability to sustain his level.

The mad turn he did on the sidelines against the Gunners, was Suarez-esque.

Not sure where to put this...

We've signed this schoolboy from over here (N.Ireland) called Ryan McLaughlin, and this is footage from the recent Belfast & District Schools' Cup Final whilst playing for St. Mary's (green and yellow kit).
Thanks for the update mate. Just found this:

At the centre of this renewed determination was centre-back Ryan McLaughlin — the young man whose talents have earned him a place with Liverpool FC.

He so nearly carved an opportunity out of nothing in one such instance in the 21st minute, but was thwarted at the last minute as a Model defender stopped him in his tracks.

Model, however, were the team celebrating a half-time lead, thanks to superb moment of individual skill from Dillon.

The winger slipped past the opposition defence, composing himself momentarily he then slid the ball neatly into the bottom corner of the net.

St Mary’s emerged in the second-half with the spirit of a school determined to emulate their GAA team’s McLarnon Cup success earlier in the day. The impressive McLaughlin got his team back on level terms three minutes after the break. He was brought down after a solo run and got up to put away the resulting penalty kick.

St Mary’s then took the lead just seven minutes later, as Brendan Bennett chested the ball down on the corner of the area and blasted it into the net at the far post with the greatest of accuracy.

It was a goal to savour, but there was better to come.

The Model may have looked to be fighting an uphill battle after the dismissal of Jack Wasson for a second bookable offence, but Hill curled in a fantastic free-kick from the left of the penalty area to bring the scores to 3-3 in the 67th minute. It was, without doubt, the goal of the game.

Such mastery would surely have warranted another 20 minutes of football after the allocated 80 and any neutral in the crowd would have welcomed such an addition.

It looked as if it was going that way, but Danny McBride brought down McLaughlin in the penalty area and it felt like he knew the game was up.

The Liverpool-bound defender buried the last-minute penalty with aplomb to give his school a memorable win.

“Liverpool’s gain is our loss,†said St Mary’s coach Gerry Vernon afterwards. He isn’t wrong.

I guess he's a very attacking fullback.
Good guess Modo. From an older article:

http://www.irishfa.com/news/item/4436/rush-praises-u16-young-guns

Manager Dessie Curry introduced Paul George for McLaughlin shortly afterwards, and although the replacement of a right back for a striker was a statement of intent, Northern Ireland failed to equalise.

Probably can play (anf started out at)RB and CB then.

Re: Raheeeeeeeeem

2-2 now , suso with a placed curling shot from 20 yards and a nice turn and finish from Saric .

In fairness they've played some very nice football this half ,well on top , although didn't see the first half to compare .

Suso looks a hell of a lot better than his last few U18s games . He's been moved centrally and is creating everything, skill wise he is something special . Think there is about 5 or so from the under 18s which is good to see and some look better at this level than they do at U 18 , especially Silva

Suso always looks better through the middle. He isn't a wide player.

yeah very true , but he seems to suffer like alot of players of his type where managers don't seem to be able to fit them centrally and push them out wide .

Finished 2-2 , never got the winner their 2nd half deserved . It's probably some of the best football i have seen the reserves play , they really knocked it around well.

They have a fair few players i really like the look of but who knows if they'll make the next step...pacheco is proof you can be a star at this level and nothing much in the first team .

He isn't suffering. They have deliberately been playing him on the right because he is totally reliant on his left foot. They know he doesn't play well there, they are just trying to improve him as a player.

By the sounds of it, you know a lot more than me. Who knows what position he is...it's schoolboy football, he'll probably be in nets next week. 😛 Looks to me he'll be a winger or a striker, but that's simply based on the video.

ADAM MORGAN continued his prolific scoring run as Liverpool Under-18s avenged their FA Youth Cup defeat with a 2-1 win over Manchester United at Carrington.

The 16-year-old striker netted for the 10th successive match to take his season tally to 16.

Re: Raheeeeeeeeem

I liked what I saw of Morgan at the FA cup game against the scum. They missed him when he went off

Re: Raheeeeeeeeem

He certainly knows how to tuck them away, but he's slower than a day at yer grannies.

Re: Raheeeeeeeeem

if he's intelligent and can finish half chances then speed is not concerning to me

Re: Raheeeeeeeeem

Sorry but this is starting to get on my testicles, why is there a load of info about Adam fucking Morgan in a Raheem Sterling thread?

Why not just start an Adam Morgan thread? Every time I come in here I think I'm going to read something exciting about Raheem and I see a youtube clip of Morgan, or something about Suso or some fucking schoolboy defender.
