I'd still like to see us get Ryan Gauld if he's cheap enough.
I've seen him twice and he looks very good but it's impossible to judge him accurately given the low standard of opposition and therefore difficult to even suggest his current value. I reckon Dundee Utd will be looking for £3m+ and possibly as much as £5m. Very hypothetical, but if we were to win the league we would become* a hugely attractive proposition for such a talented British player and we could offer £4m plus 25% sell-on clause.

United have openly admitted to monitoring him and obviously, as he's only just turned 18, he doesn't need Champions League football next season but I'd like to think he's the type of player we are keeping a very close eye on.

*I realise that we are an attractive proposition already for good young talent but as Champions, with a great young manager and signs that we'll continue to get better we could realistically "steal" players from under the noses of United, Chelsea and City etc despite their comparative wealth.

[article=http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/460651/Granada-already-eyeing-longer-stay-for-on-loan-Liverpool-defender-Tiago-Ilori]Granada sporting director Juan Carlos Cordero has already decided that he would like to keep Ilori for the long term.

He said: “He’s shown the experience he gained in Portugal and he’s adapted very quickly to the team.

"He will keep growing as a player and is an option for us to assess, if the right circumstances are there.

"When we reach the end of summer, we’ll see if Liverpool want him for their first team, if they want to sell or loan him to us again.”[/article]

This will interest a few of the more avid youth watchers on here. Armin Hodzic, our on-loan striker in the Bosnian league - compilation of his goals from the current season. He's not someone it's easy to find details on, but looks reasonably promising here. Was 19 back in November.[/media]

He was apparently back for 2 months training with us. Their season resumes in March. Just returned to Bosnia to join his team's training camp this week.

U21's v Wolves live on LFCTV now

Mersin, Sama, Maguire, Paez, Jones, Rossiter, Dunn, Lussey, Bijev, Brannagan, Peterson
Subs. Sokolik, Firth, Chirivella, Williams, Sinclair.

Marc Pelosi was out with the team during the warm-ups doing sprints. Been out over a year.

I don't get why Sama's been in first team squads recently. He can play at CB or RB, but he's never really caught the eye in a positive sense. He played CB for a couple of seasons and panicked in high pressure situations. He's been more of a right back this year but, like tonight, his positioning is poor and he sometimes seems puzzled as to what he's supposed to be doing.

Bijev not offering much presence up front. Want to see more from him. Rossiter and Brannagan seem to have a good understanding.

4-0 Rossiter

Breaking forward from deep. Places a low left foot shot into the bottom corner from just outside the area. Very composed finish.

Rossiter is absurdly mature for 16. An exceptional talent.

I wonder how he compares to the likes of Barkley and Wishere at that age?
I remember Wilshere in a Youth Cup tie against Liverpool a few years ago and he was head and shoulders above the rest of the players on the pitch.

He's clever. That's the really encouraging thing. Sometimes you see them at that age and they look technically good but a bit naive. Rossiter really knows what he's doing. Vision, decision-making, reading of the game - exceptional.

I have a massive soft spot for Dunn. If you were going to bet on a first teamer from these it would be Rossiter, but I'd love Dunn to make it. He's a wee ball of mischief.

I hope we get rid of Bijev soon. It always annoys me to see dead wood getting valuable minutes at reserve level, and you don't get wood any deader than him. That always seems to be a bit of a problem once you get to this age group, although it used to be much worse. Sinclair should be playing, he needs pushing on.

You meant for training right? Because the only time I can recall him being with the matchday squad this season is the game against Bournemouth in the FA Cup.

He played wide right but was constantly drifting and cutting in centrally onto his much favoured left peg.
