He's a tidy little player and I for one quite liked him while he was here. Didn't fancy him much before he played for us, but I think he proved he had something to offer.
Presumably if he comes it'll be to replace Joe Cole (again!), and hopefully on much lower wages. As a squaddie - what's not to like?

he wouldn't get anywhere near the first team now so I would much prefer to see games/bench places given to the likes of Sterling or Suso for example.

I'm not believing this for a minute, but I'd be made up if it happened. I rather him to Maxi and I much rather him to Cole. We need a strong squad and we need creative players. Yossi would be a fantastic pick up, but I highly doubt it would happen.

I think Cole at his peak was better than Yossi at his peak. But overall, Yossi doesn't go missing as much as Cole does - and had far more of an impact here than Cole ever will.
I still remember that goal against Madrid ...

Great goal, but nothing beat this. First match up between two of the heavyweights of European football. 0-0 late in the game and Yossi heads in the winning goal.

I think that's debatable and I think Cole will never hit his peak again. I'd be happy to have either in the squad, but if it's one or the other, I'd much prefer Yossi.

I liked Benayoun more than most, in fact I think he was quite underrated, but I'm not really for his signing now.
He's spent a year injured and he's getting older now. Let's move on and sign someone better.

I'd take Yossi in a heart beat - depending on the price being very minimal.
He can fill the role of X-factor well enough and I do think we need somethingelse, another option, up front. Not sure of his frame of mind though and that would be key. Not interested in someone looking for a retirement season.
