Meanwhile Trump is polishing his statement to how he stopped the war. Him alone.
I've seen some very funny attempts to play this by Trumpites, such as how ironic it is that the people criticising the 6th January coup were supporting this coup. And that Prigozhin is a Nazi, so the libs are supporting a Nazi. The question arising was, so Putin sent in Nazis in order to de-Nazify Ukraine?
That last statement is undeniably true.
I don't think anyone knows if it's a good or bad thing. Probably the best thing that could happen is Wagner gets bogged down and there's a split in who controls Russia.
However with 25k troops (some estimate its as few as 10k), they have little chance on their own to stage a coup. They'd need the Russian army to effectively down tools.
Word on the twatter says he was turned away from Kazakhstani airspace.
He's more likely to have headed to the Ural mountains that out of Russia.

Huh? The de-Nazification of Ukraine as a rationale for invasion was a crock of shite. Even if the Ukrainians really were Nazis, that wouldn't have been the reason for Russia's invasion, especially as what is Putin if not a totalitarian right wing leader intolerant of political freedoms?

Such an anticlimax after I stayed home to watch the coup. I’ve half a mind to write a firmly worded letter to the Wagner group about this.
