Yes, I am glad they have their safe space away from my comments. I hope in time and with luck they will be able to rebuild their broken lives and return to some semblance of normality.
I'm pretty average for a Ukrainian, but usually in top 1% of chess.com. My rating dropped off quite a bit recently as I can't fully concentrate and just play to make my mind off the news.

I think it‘s pretty obvious what would have to be done.
But instead of banning those two twats you let them ruin the whole site further and further.

Scm has always worked on giving people a chance to right wrongs - from mods to "regular" posters. It has worked sometimes, it hasnt others. It may not be the best way, or your way etc, to fix things - or improve the site- but as of now, its ours.
If it needs changing, just like us mods, it will be done accordingly.
(Also, you can put them on ignore too if you have no patience to deal with their opinions/approach)
