WWIII Return of the Ruskie

A crisis point has been building for years with the West vs the Russia/China/Iran axis and unfortunately we've been far too passive for far too long... we may have left it too late.

Certainly left China too late.
but like I said at what cost?

Just financial or more nuclear cost

If only there was some way to determine china were a threat before the election, we could have elected the president who treated them as one rather than vote him out because we mistakenly thought he was a racist bully peddling wild conspiracies about wuhan and ip theft. Ah well, you live and learn.

China have been a threat for years, Trump did nothing. He also did nothing re Saudi. He did nothing re Syria.
It's the same as Tories complaining about life under labour when they've been there for 12 years and not changed anything.

Trump wasn't able to do anything on the global scene cos he was too divisive and was doing a decent job of creating fractions and divisions in his own country.

But what did wonder boy really achieve against China? Apart from virtue signalling and having Chinese Bank account. Maybe one to discuss on all the other threads we have related to the former glorious leader.

Well, how long do you let bad actors act with impunity under the threat of nuclear war?

I can't imagine Putin or anyone in his inner circle would seriously follow through on their threats because I'd don't believe that they're the unstable loons they're being depicted as... but then I didn't think it'd get quite this bad either.

Think it could actually be the opposite. In that I don't think Putin wouldn't even contemplated invading with Trump in charge. Not claiming Putin thinks Biden is a pushover it's more that nobody can call Trump. He's a maverick, unpredictable and would be much more aggresive in this conflict.

Putin and his inner circle probably knew their would be an avalanche of sanctions but reckoned NATO would stand on the fence. Putin almost decided to back off and had NATO been far more aggressive during the build up of troops on the Ukraine border he might of backed off. Instead of which Biden and the rest just speculated on when the invassion would start.

Once that build up started a "no fly" zone over Ukraine should've been put in place. Putin would've backed off IMO.
Trump would have done sod all apart from calling Putin a friend and a great man. Like always.

To be honest, Obama was completely asleep at the wheel on Russia, which was almost as harmful as Trump working for them.

Ukrainian farmers can be notoriously bitchy and protective about their territory; books have been written about bitter disputes about a small piece of land or a single fruit tree that go on for years. Now some of them will have very serious arguments in any future territorial dispute.

So now it's killer birds released and directed to fly to Mother Russia by the dastardly Ukrainians. And they already "intercepted" them (I'd love to see how!). Impressive flight of the imagination by the propagandists.

Ukraine advised to destroy 'high-threat pathogens' - WHO
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has advised Ukraine to destroy "high-threat pathogens" held in public health laboratories.

There are fears that potential spills could cause disease.

Were laboratories to be damaged in the Russian invasion, it is feared that pathogens could spread among the population.

The WHO told the Reuters news agency that it had collaborated with Ukrainian public health labs for several years to promote security practices that help prevent "accidental or deliberate release of pathogens".

It added: "As part of this work, WHO has strongly recommended to the Ministry of Health in Ukraine and other responsible bodies to destroy high-threat pathogens to prevent any potential spills."

The WHO did not provide information on the kinds of pathogens housed in Ukraine's laboratories.

Nor did it say whether its recommendations had been followed.

People are going to be in a very difficult position if China invade Taiwan.

Nope.

Hong Kong nothing and of course the genocide on Uyghur population apart from a few words no real actions or sanctions taken.

Cos we know we'd be utterly shafted once they start holding back.

You never know.

The people who do dances on Tiktok to support Ukraine may stop using Tiktok in solidarity with Taiwan

It's a leap to jump from that to Ukraine having biological weapon being developed under the watch of Biden family no? Moreover the agreement is dated 2005...George Bush was the president then.

It's difficult to say who was over it , but there are very clearly US controlled biolabs in Ukraine.

Which was a conspiracy theory last week
