WWIII Return of the Ruskie

this is great, but could she give any more information away?

I listened to a Lex Fridman podcast with Nicole Perlroth on cyber security.

Really really interesting about how various nations and governments are using cyber warfare.
Listening to it and how Russia managed to turn the lights off in Ukraine previously makes me think twice about what Putin is doing atm.
Whys he bothering to go for this physical warfare and be made to look crappy when he could push for shutting down the grid?
Is there any info on the kinda levels they've gone to re cyber?
Nicole talks about the madness of China and Uyghur and why everyone needs to sit up and take note cos it's a pilot for what they want to do elsehwere!

As for the Saudi and UAE states and how they are using cyber to crush opposition on their countries.

It's definitely in their thinking, but then stories of them monitoring oceans for fibre optics has also been reported recently, so maybe it's a much broader tactic. He obviously wants territory in the Ukraine, and has gone for the "fear of God" approach, he wants men on the ground so he can instill a Government there under Russian rule by physically taking over cities. There were threats over the gas line to Germany when things started taking shape on the Ukraine border, so then his navy were suddenly monitoring fibre optic lines in the Atlantic. It's hard to tell if it's a genuine threat or just his tit-for-tat psychological shit, but it's definitely in his thinking to shut countries down in any way possible.

Even if this shit calms down, it's hard to not see, at some point, some kind of vengeful attack on the likes of the UK. Terrorist cells, more poisonings on a wider scale, cyber attacks, the list is endless. Did any truth come out about the British Airways incident last week?

If anyone can verify the translation?

If true, literally in Parliament and gets a solid round of applause.. I mean not like Spain hasn't seen its fair share of fascism but ummmm hmm.

Wonder if I can hitch a ride to Israel with keni

I stand in solidarity with Atlas against racism. Together we can defeat it by making a stand, also by taking a knee, then making a stand, then taking a knee, eventually we will succeed.

What are you babbling about?

I'm just trying to do my bit, to help the people of ukraine. Wait I'm confused, in this case they're being racist. The spanish. Someone is, that's all I know. I'm doing my bit to kick racism out of parliament.

I kind of agree. The news channels flit between Kiev and Kyiv almost hourly.

It's not just that it's standing ovations for some guy on the screen, and tweeting
Look at us clapping in solidarity.
It's we're all gonna wear blue and yellow dresses and clap when Biden says Iranian.. I mean Ukrainian.

It's empty pointless stuff like we having the building light up in Ukrainian flag while sitting back not actually seizing property from these people.
It's quietly pushing aside reports on Russian influence in govt.

It's the sheer hypocrisy across the board from the blonde blue eyes to were not buying Russian but everything is made in china..
Close to deals with Iranian oil now that we can't buy russian oil.

So yh FFS

Londongrad for a reason.

I do agree with you that we've been too slow to sanction high profile entities.

And yes signing trade deals with other authoritarian countries isn't exactly the way forward.

Can the mod who changed my profile overlay the Ukrainian colours on it please? No rush, whenever you get a minute. Thanks

No not "either or", you presumptuous homophobe. Firstly, I identify as zey/zem. Secondly, I stand with Ukraine, that takes precedence over my pronouns for the next week or two at least.

It's hard to believe that Putin will stop at Ukraine. He already has Belarus and Crimea essentially, so where next? Syria are showing some support, he's flashing conversations with India amongst others on the Kremlin Twitter feed too and is giving the whole narrative suggesting he wants a return to the old republic. He has seen Nato close in on Russia with it's neighbouring countries and obviously felt Ukraine following suit was a step too far and too close for comfort. So he's essentially pushing back.

Like I say, where does he end? He's 69, has spent two years locked away with his cronies dreaming up his evil masterplan. He could have dementia for all we know, it's a dangerous time and he's a ticking time bomb who gets more erratic by the day. The ceasefire has made me nervous, everything he has done so far seems like provocation, like he wants to the West to react, he wants a war. He's already said that if the rest of the World shuts out Russia, he doesn't need the rest of the World. Everyone is scared to react, because they know how volatile he is, but we can't tiptoe around him forever, something has to give.

It's pretty frustrating watching Ukraine be torn to shreds and seeing the West essentially resigned to the fact Russia will take the country, while hoping it stops there. Power feeds power, he won't stop at the Ukraine and he'll at some point go a step too far and trigger a reaction from someone.

Attacks taking place along the evacuation route. What a fucking surprise. Mariupol and the evacuation route are both under heavy shelling.
